A new Author, a single Dad and an American citized hoping to make a difference by informing Americans about issues that affect there freedoms.
When you listen to representatives of certain groups, you wonder why they would have any faith in a Government run health care system. They talk about the elderly liking the medicare system in one sentence, and in the next sentence, they say there is a lot of waste and fraud that needs to be dealt with and fixed. Wouldn't it be wise to ask the Government to fix these problems first and show us that they aren't completely incompetent, before they attempt to over run our lives with another Government take over? I think the general consensus on this issue is the same. Prove to the American people that you are capable of running a successful program that is designed to benefit the American people such as medicaid, medicare and social security, all of which are major disasters based on different elements such as fraud, waste, mistakes, over spending on frivolous things by the Government and other factors that has caused these programs to go broke.
This is a scary time in America, when the very people that Americans elected into office can't even see the problems that we already have with Government run programs, and try to push a new program they can't even explain to all Americans by basically saying, Trust us. How in the world are Americans supposed to trust in a system that has failed so miserably in the past? It's an absurd thought. It would be like an average American small business owner, struggling to make ends meet, losing money daily while running up credit beyond means and then going out to open a second identical business right across the street. It wouldn't make sense, but that is exactly what the Government is trying to do.
These are the common sense issues Americans are waking up to. They are reading more and watching the Government like hawks, which is why the ridiculous proposal by Nancy Palosi and the rest of her group, to ask for over half a billion dollars for new Jets, will most likely not go very far. These are the reasons people are coming out to protest town halls all over the country. Faulty Government programs, currently in existence are causing civil unrest in the country and until the Government can show they are capable of running a successful program, these debates will continue to get heated.
Common Sense is the only thing that keeps Americans on top of things these days because the Government has anything but common sense. I am not trying to keep referencing Glen Backs best selling book, Common Sense, but these days common sense is the biggest thing missing.

By: Michael Pomper | 22/09/2009 | PoliticsWhat are we to believe, that we here every day in the main stream media? It’s sometimes hard to determine who is telling truth and who is not. So how do we determine for ourselves what we should believe, and what we need to disregard as propaganda by one side or the other? It’s a rather simple answer.
