Sarah Palin’s Black Magic connections

Back in March I published an article here at Article Base titled “How to Use Magick Spells to Positively Affect the Presidential Election – and Why You Should”.

The new Republican Vice Presidential nominee, Sarah Palin, is a perfect example of what NOT to do with magic!

Just so you know I’m not making this up (truth really is way stranger than fiction), the source for this information is an alternet.org article titled “A Look Inside Sarah Palin’s Pentecostal Church” by Bruce Wilson.

To wit:

  • "Sarah Palin's churches are actively involved in a resurgent movement that was declared heretical by the Assemblies of God in 1949. This is the same 'Spiritual Warfare' movement that was featured in the award winning movie, "Jesus Camp," which showed young children being trained to do battle for the Lord. At least three of four of Palin's churches are involved with major organizations and leaders of this movement, which is referred to as The Third Wave of the Holy Spirit or the New Apostolic Reformation. The movement is training a young "Joel's Army" to take dominion over the United States and the world....  The beliefs and manifestations of the movement include the use of 'strategic level spiritual warfare' to expel territorial demons from American and world cities....  "The World Prayer Center ... is often referred to by those familiar with the Third Wave as the 'Pentagon for Spiritual Warfare.'...  Wagner [founder of the World Prayer Center] and his group also claim that the Queen of Heaven [whom the article earlier states they believe “to be one of the most powerful demons over the earth”] is ... the god of Mary veneration in the Roman Catholic Church.  Following [a] ... prayer excursion ..., one of the lead prayer intercessors ... reported that there had been dramatic results including, ‘...an earthquake had destroyed the basilica of Assisi, where the Pope had called a meeting of all world religions; ... and Mother Theresa died in India, one of the most famous advocates of Mary as Co-Redeemer.'"

Anyone is free in the United States of America to practice any religion.  Using the tools and techniques of that religion to attempt to cause death and destruction is, however, the blackest kind of magic.  Praying for someone to die, as these people apparently did with Mother Theresa and Princess Diana, or praying for earthquakes, floods, and other natural disasters, is black magic.  For those of you who aren’t familiar with the film “Jesus Camp,” it portrays a “Christian” (Dominionist) summer camp where children of all ages were being taught that the United States government is evil, and they were given hammers to smash upside-down white porcelain teacups to destroy that evil.  Any juxtaposition with the campers’ trip to Washington D.C. at the end of the movie, standing in front of the great big upside-down white teacup that is the Capital dome, was, I’m sure, intentional.  Taking a symbolic action on something that is used to represent something similar (such as smashing a teacup meant to represent the Capital dome) is a form of sympathetic magic.  In this instance, because the intention was destruction, it is again the blackest form of magic.

Any ethical and moral person should be outraged at such activities.  Any true-believing Christian should be doubly outraged that these black magicians are running around calling themselves Christians.  Any red-blooded American should be horrified that a woman deeply connected to such a hate-mongering, anti-constitutional group is being put forward to be the next Vice President, and by implication possibly the next President, of the United States.

This is NOT the sort of woman we can afford to have in the Vice President’s office.  When, not if, McCain dies of old age in office (in the unfortunate circumstance that he is elected), this woman would have her finger on the nuclear trigger.  And if she won’t stop short of praying for an earthquake to destroy the Pope at the basilica of Assisi, what’s to stop her from aiming a nuclear missile right at the Vatican?

I’m used to these right wing fanatics taking aim at paganism.  But when they start threatening my 76-year-old Catholic mother, it becomes personal.

We have to get the word out about how dangerous a McCain/Palin administration would be to our civil liberties, for this country, and for the world.  I have a bullet point list of all the reasons such an administration would lead us straight to Armageddon and the Apocalypse.   Consider taking a look at my own article referenced earlier, to find out the correct, positive way to use magick to influence a political election.  And please do read the full Alternet article, also referenced above, to find out just how bad this really is.

Whilst I neither 'know' Sarah Palin's religious views or whether there is any factual truth to the allegations being made this authors presumption of truth, "Just so you know I’m not making this up", in an unchecked source was rather naive.
Reading Bruce Wilson and Vivienne's articles one would believe Gov. Palin to have been a user of 'black magick' which is as far from truth as Bruce Wilson's article is based on the facts.
With a few minutes research anyone could easily see from independent sources that Gov. Palin had left the said church in 2002 which was prior to the questionable sermons due to quoted sources as "the Bible Church is "less extreme"

Paul,
I think you have missed the point of this article; what it is showing is the danger that faith has in politics. Both sides have had their run in with faith coloring their campaign, so let's break down each one.
Let's start by using the same light that both sides should be put under. If Sen. Obama can have his Rev. Wright problem, then why can't Gov. Palin have to confront her Pastor Kalnins issue? Each one was involved in a church that had ideas that are not so main stream to the rest of America. Now each candidate can say that they did not agree with what was said, and that they were neither connected nor heard that exact remark.
The issue then comes up with this -- Sen. Obama did not actually hear Rev. Wright's sermon denouncing America, while Gov. Palin actually had the pastor lay hands on her invoking the idea of witchcraft.
Even if Sen. Obama had been at Rev. Wright's sermon then this would be a more damning connection, but Gov. Palin actually let Pastor Kalnins lay hands on her under these damnable ideas. The former has less control over what actually went down, and, if there, could have said his rebuttal to what happened at the time. The latter was in direct contact with the pastor, and at no time said anything in disagreement with what happened.
Lastly, in the United States Constitution Article VI says "…no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States." Pretty clear on that, but the only issue is faith, not religion -- what someone believes under ones faith, if they are praying to kill people, or spreading hatred of one group or another, the persecution of an innocent women, etc., that should be looked at as something that matters.

I am certain I did not miss any points what your reply attests to just reinforces it, the article was "UNTRUE" the fact that others may tell lies about other candidates doesn't retract from this.
I have spoken to people and shaken hands with them, even hugged them, whom I have disagreements with about their philosophy of life but because I am seen in their company and they may even bless me doesn't make me believe their views or 'guilty' by association.
Equally telling the same lies about an opponent doesn't make it any better to do because others either lied about you or someone you have supported, it is the lowest form of politics or life belief and makes those doing so even worse than those they malign.
There is nothing wrong with looking at people's beliefs when they run for public office but spreading lies about them is! What makes it far worse is when the lie is proven to be false and the perpetrator of said lie does nothing to retract it!
Also the fact that both stated sources have been discredited (one by the news paper he works for) can easily be sourced through independent avenues in a matter of minutes.
Perhaps I am old fashioned but I was always taught that lying about people was wrong and that one should always check ones sources to the best one is able.

Sorry about the comments overlapping, everyone. I've already emailed Article Base about it, but it's been several days now and they haven't fixed it, so I don't know what's going on. I would really like to see the latest comment, too, I have yet to be able to read it because of the current illegibility of all the comments. (I'm hoping maybe if I post this, the added comment will straighten everything out? We'll see).

Video of Sarah Palin has been all over the news, showing her being blessed by a pastor from an African congregation of her church, who is renowned in Africa as a witch hunter. In the video, he is holding his hands over Sarah Palin, talking about abjuring witchcraft in all its forms, and she follows right along with him.

A member from another board posted that he has been to Africa, and sat down to dinner with his Catholic family and a visiting Catholic priest, who made it clear that there is a huge rivalry in Africa between evangelical sects like Palin's, and Catholicism. Apparently an accusation of witchcraft over there is even more likely to be leveled against a Catholic for practicing Catholicism, as it is against an animist.

News anchors have been "joking" that America has gone over 300 years without a witch hunt, but that Palin may well bring them back for the first time since Salem in 1692. Personally I don't find it particularly funny, I find it horrifying.

I have seen numerous articles debunking the rumor that was spreading about her book banning (including books that were not yet written when she was supposed to have banned them). I have seen no such refutation of her witch hunting or her intimate ties to religious extremists.

In addition, here are two more articles (in addition to the one I referred to in my article), one from Salon and one from SF Gate. They were both posted to another board by two different people. Wiccans and other non-cult Christians are running scared of what this woman could do if she gained power, and if you're not, then you are not paying attention.

Election over, you lost.
@Paul
Read the comments, when there is f***ing video showing that she is being \"blessed\" by a paster against witchcraft. Learn to Internets! I understand how hard this is to accept that the election over you lost, be nice, shut up, and stop trying to say people are lying.

Very Little Interest in Science

Only three of the nine Costa Rican presidential candidates attended a debate on what is considered the biggest national challenge in science and technology: Increasing investment in research and development to 1% of gross domestic product (GDP). The activity was attended by candidate Walter Muñoz (National Integration Party), Otton Solis (Citizens' Action Party) and Eugenio Trejos (Broad Front). To some, it is really worrying to know that there is no defined north for science in Costa Rica.
