Supporting a political candidate can be a fun, worthwhile and enriching experience. From high school boards, to university boards, city council and beyond, you can find many ways to join in on the political action on the level that suits you. You can play an important role for you candidate no matter what level he or she may be on. If you are running for a school office you may know the individual personally and be creating his or her platform. If you are helping someone nationally you can go to the phones and talk to people to increase your voting power exponentially.
If you are helping a candidate in primary school (elementary to high school), ask your candidate why he or she is running if that has not already come up, of course. The answer to this question will lead to goals he or she will attempt to meet and the issues that will be run on. Speeches and short talks should all center on these issues. The name of the candidate and what will be done should all be driven home. A lot of the time elections come down to a popularity vote (this is even true with larger elections) so you want to reach as many students as possible across the board. Often the goal is to keep the name of the candidate ringing in the voters’ ears until the time of the vote comes.
In a larger scale election you may not have the ability to even help choose the issues the candidate will run on. It is likely that you will have to find different avenues to offer your support. In these current presidential elections two simple ways to offer your support are with contributions and phone calls. You can easily find a candidates official page and then contribute money through it. There is also usually an “action” or “take action” button near the top of a candidate’s page that you can follow in order to find the page that gives numbers along with a prepared monologue and talking points for the undecided.
Do not lose heart when making calls. A lot of the time people just do not want to talk about politics over the phone and sometimes you will get the odd character. There are some refreshing moments where you may get a small chat with someone who agrees with you. You will tend to have to put in many hours to get several votes but they will be worth it. It is like getting to vote twice! (Well maybe not exactly like that, but you definitely will be influencing more people than the average John or Jane).
There are many, many more ways to get active than just the couple of suggestions here. The important thing to remember is that if you are going to be involved in supporting a candidate that you get active and put your weight into it. You will not only increase your voice, you’ll get to be involved in a process that shapes landscape of the United States.

The Offensive History of the Second Glass of Wine
By: Prof.dr. Ibrahim Khalil | 13/05/2007 | Health and Safety
In man's history, the first glass of wine Biblically justifies Racism, Color discrimination and Slavery. Herein, the second glass of wine Biblically justifies committing adultery between the daughter and her father (Lot); a very shameful evil act that ended up with the creation of two big nations, Ammon and Moab.
On the other hand, the Quran says that Lot's nation was the first in the history of mankind to commit homosexuality. The Quran says that Allah left a sign for Lot's nation; this sign needs serious scientists to dig for. The Quran and Islamic teachings deny the Biblical story about Lot and his daughters (who were three or more and were pure and clean). The Quran considers Lot as a Messenger who had done his job perfectly.

Can Power Shift to Powerless Nations?
By: Reza Hossein Borr | 23/07/2008
The fact of history is that power shifts from one country to another country and from one nation to another nation. One nation which is great today will be impoverished tomorrow and a poor country of today will become a great country of tomorrow. This is the rule of history.

By: Jay Mms | 11/05/2008 | Investing
With all the talk about recessions, a mortgage crisis, a stressed credit market, and the falling value of the dollar in the United States it would appear that the stock market is definitely a place to avoid putting your money. While this may be generally true in the short run for the market as a whole, in the long run things will even out. But if you are the type that cannot wait that long there are other avenues you may take to invest profitably such as put options or short term trading.
