Not long ago I asked a man who has known me for over thirty years why he thought I am a Republican? He's a student of American government and a college professor of economics. Here's his answer.
"Sorry, Bob, but you're not a Republican regardless of what your voter registration card has printed on it. You are a social liberal. I suspect you joined the Republican Party because they represent what you absolutely despise. As a whole, Republicans are some of most arrogant, self-righteous, belligerent, and hypocritical group of people you can find on the face of the earth. In my opinion, you're like the person who marries an alcoholic thinking he or she can change them."
I must confess up that I'm belligerent when it comes to those who love to wage war. Truthfully, I should be on death row for the things I've done to some of these warmongers once I was able to lure them away from the pack. I can't help myself; I know I have a very serious problem. Each time I'm around fellow Republicans I see them as a pack of wild dogs who have gone mad, and are killing not out of hunger, but just because they can.
