Were the Israelites Outnumbered the Egyptians? the Bible Says: Yes

Comparative Study between the Bible versus the Quran (51) – A: The first part

(Chapter 51:1-10)

The Old Testament verses from 1-10 are talking about the Israelites have become much too numerous for the Egyptians.

The New Testament verses from 1-10 are states that Jesus marveled and said: I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel (See: B: The second part).

The Noble Quran Verses from 1-10 are talking about different subjects, one of them is that the promise of resurrection is a true one (see: C: The third part - I and II).

Old Testament:

Chapter 51 in the Old Testament is Exodus 1

it is composed of 22 verses.

Verses from 1-10 are talking about the names of the sons of Israel who went to Egypt with Jacob, each with his family. Only seventy persons went down into Egypt. However, the Israelites were fruitful and multiplied greatly and became exceedingly numerous, so that the land was filled with them. Then a new king, who did not know about Joseph, came to power in Egypt. "Look," he said to his people, "the Israelites have become much too numerous for us; we must deal shrewdly with them or they will become even more numerous and, if war breaks out, will join our enemies, fight against us and leave the country."

It is not believable that only seventy persons became more numerous than the original dwellers, the Egyptians.  No one can believe this biblical story.

How come that 70 persons within 200 years i.e., about 4-5 generations became outnumbered the Egyptians?

Put in mind that the Israelites were under cruel bondage and Pharaoh used to kill their sons; i.e. he used to kill their machines of reproductions.

In addition, throughout the history, the Israelites never ever outnumbered the Egyptians.

That is why, it is very hard to believe this biblical story.

Exodus 1 (King James Version)

1] Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob.

2] Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah,

3] Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin,

4] Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

5] And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already.

6] And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation.

7] And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.

8] Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.

9] And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we:

10] Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land.

Very Little Interest in Science

By: dioniso ferlini | 26/11/2009
Only three of the nine Costa Rican presidential candidates attended a debate on what is considered the biggest national challenge in science and technology: Increasing investment in research and development to 1% of gross domestic product (GDP). The activity was attended by candidate Walter Muñoz (National Integration Party), Otton Solis (Citizens' Action Party) and Eugenio Trejos (Broad Front). To some, it is really worrying to know that there is no defined north for science in Costa Rica.
