Children brought into this world by mothers and father that are sick or destitute have to be provided for by the state. The financial burden of parenthood is shifted to the taxpayers. Billions are spent in humane efforts to help parents care for their children. The costs get higher as parents increase their family size. Having new children means bigger checks from the government. This has become a common way of raising a family for many poverty stricken people.

There are millions of children that are deserted by their fathers; their responsibility is left to mothers, or the state. This is not the right way to treat children; a child needs to know their father for many reasons. A mother or the state can’t provide the fatherly love children need. The natural father of those children is not available, because instead of being with his child, he is busy making love to a new sex starved woman. After impregnating her he is off to another bedroom never looking back at the damage he has done. Some men have fathered over one hundred children without ever seeing or supporting any of them.

Welfare mothers have a horrible life. With the little money they get from the state they live in poverty. The guy that gets her pregnant usually leaves without ever seeing his child or sending her support payments. A new boyfriend gives her two more children and also deserts her. If she didn’t keep on getting pregnant she might have enough time to find a job. It is hell raising so many children on so few dollars. That is the typical life of a woman who has children that she can’t afford to support.

Poverty stricken mothers of unwanted children should be given our sympathy. They helplessly do the best they can. Without a normal family life their children suffer neglect and often break the law. The cost of raising a child is over two hundred thousand dollars. Should government money support those unfortunate families using our taxes? Would you want your taxes raised to help support a mother with an unwanted child? Despite our compassion very few of us would want to pick up the tab.

The vasectomy is a painless operation that leaves a male without the ability to have children. It can be done in the doctor’s office in less than an hour and has become increasingly popular. The tubectomie is a women’s operation that will prevent her from ever becoming pregnant. It is usually done during childbirth. The most popular reason for having a tubectomie is because of an inability to ever support a child. Both operations are a valuable tool for family planning.

Having an abortion is not always the best solution because of the guilt that goes along with it. The most sensible solution for people who don’t want to have children is for them to get a vasectomy or tubectomie. It is not only good for society and a person’s dignity, but also prevents the birth of an unwanted child. The expenses to tax payers of supporting unwanted children would be greatly reduced if the state would give a generous cash incentive to men and women who chose to have the operation. It eventually would lead to the disappearance of unwanted children. Every child would then have all the love and care that they deserve.
