However, besides being pregnant there are other causes for missing a period and you may want to see if you have certain pregnancy symptoms too.

If you have noticed a change in your appetite, this may be an indication  that you are pregnant.  Many women who are pregnant to experience some unexpected changes in their appetites.  Along these same lines, many pregnant women also experience cravings for certain types of foods.  In some instances these can be cravings for foods that previously a woman had not particular interest in or desire for.

Another of the common early signs that you are pregnant is fatigue.  Some women who are pregnant find that they are more easily fatigued than the norm.  This is something that you will want to consider as well.  If you are finding that you are fatigued to an increasing degree, this may be a sign that you are pregnant.

Nausea – oftentimes known as morning sickness – is another sign that you may be pregnant.  You do need to keep in mind that this type of nausea – perhaps better termed pregnancy related nausea – is not confined to the morning alone.  You can end up afflicted with this type of nausea any time of the day and even into the night.  Nevertheless, unusual or unexpected nausea can also be a sign that you are pregnant.

As was noted previously in this article, in most instances a woman will experience a combination of these symptoms.  Therefore, if you are experiencing a combination of these and other symptoms, there really is a good chance that you might be pregnant.  If that is the case, you may want to obtain a home pregnancy test.  With a home pregnancy test you will be able to determine with a great deal of accuracy whether you actually are pregnant or not.  Indeed, these tests have become so efficient that many doctors now rely upon them when it comes to ascertaining whether or not their own patients are pregnant.

If your home pregnancy test indicates that you are pregnant, you will want to make an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible.  Your doctor will be able to confirm your pregnancy and assist you in preparing your prenatal regimen.
