Driveway Takes Centre Stage

A Cheshire couple’s driveway is becoming the centre of attention after the installation of a stunning new surface from Barefoot Floor Couture. 

After years spent searching for something suitable, Barrie and Jennifer Davies came across Barefoot Floor Couture and the luxury flooring company’s resin-bound pebble surface Cool Rocks, instantly appealed.

Part of Barefoot Floor Couture’s Natural collection, Cool Rocks connects with the environment, and makes a driveway an attractive scene.

The couple chose the shade Brazil Nut and Barefoot’s craftsmen team installed Cool Rocks in just a matter of days. The Davies’s request to embed some children’s toys into the drive as a memento was warmly met, and, as a result, the drive has become a playground paradise for their grandchildren.

Now the Davies’s have found that people walking past their home have warmed to Cool Rocks - and some have posed questions about it and even asked to walk over the foot-massaging surface. Proud of their new drive and the interest it receives, the Davies’s have taken delivery of some Barefoot brochures to deal with such enquiries.

Barrie said: “We were absolutely amazed at the service we received. The Cool Rocks was laid over our existing drive, so there were no groundworks, and no digging up.

“It was all completed in days and the Barefoot team even levelled off our garage door so it fitted over the new surface.

”The Cool Rocks sparkles in the sunlight and, in the evening, a streetlamp illuminates onto it and we get a beautiful glimmering effect.

“It is fabulous to maintain, there are no weeds, it washes really easily – even grease comes off with just a little detergent - and the Barefoot team laid it in a way that it drains really quickly, even in the heaviest rain. It’s been everything we ever wanted.”
