The Great Singapore Sale 2008

Singapore City, Singapore – Shopaholics, get those credit cards ready! From May 23 to July 20, Singapore will be welcoming eager shoppers to the Great Singapore Sale, an annual shopping event that showcases the best bargains the country’s shopping centers have to offer.

Co-organized by the Singapore Tourism Board and the many participating retail companies, the Sale aims to promote the tourism industry of Singapore.

During the Sale, many major stores and malls will be extending their shopping hours until 12 midnight and even later during weekends. Must-see places for good finds at reasonable prices, whether it’s clothing, accessories, electronic goods, or even food, would include Orchard Road, Little India, Bugis, and Chinatown, just to name a few. Various special deals particularly await tourists who plan to shop at the Sale. They can avail of the Tourist Privilege Card for example, which will be included in the Great Singapore Sale Tourist Brochure that will be distributed at Visitor Centers and major hotels within the city.
