Living alone and staying safe can make your life more relaxing and give you the freedom you desire. If you live in a house, keep your doors and windows locked at all times. This may sound easy enough and it is, just make sure you do it. Have your exterior maintenance to your home complete. Check the locks on windows and doors to make sure they are in good working order. Place an exit sense bar in windows and sliding patio doors for added security.

Park your car in a well lit area. Park as close as possible to the front door of your home. Keep windows and doors locked at all times.
