By: Prof.dr. Ibrahim Khalil | Posted: 09-12-2007

The Middle verse in chapter (39) of the Old Testament talks about she wanted to make love with Joseph but he fled, and got him out.
The Middle verse in chapter (39) of the New Testament talks about Jesus said that the Jewish Priests made God's house a den of thieves.
The Middle verse in chapter (39) of the Noble Quran talks about 1) the ignorant disbelieved Arabs knew that Allah is the Creator of the heavens and the earth; 2) No one can stop Allah's willpower and 3) Put your trust in Allah.

Old Testament:

Chapter 39 in the Old Testament is Genesis (39); it is composed of 23 verses.
The Middle verse is that number 12
It says:

Genesis 39:12 (King James Version)

12) "And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out."

This verse talks about she wanted to make love with Joseph but he fled, and got him out.

N.B.: in the Quran, Joseph's garment is not left in her hand, but he fled and she caught his garment and tore it from behind; this was the evidence that Joseph was innocent!

New Testament

Chapter 39 in the New Testament is Mark 11; it is composed of 33 verses.
The Middle verse is that number 17
It says:

Mark 11: 17 (King James Version)

17)" And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves."

This verse talks about Jesus said that the Jewish Priests made God's house a den of thieves.

The Noble Quran:

Chapter 39 in the Noble Quran is AZ-ZUMAR (THE TROOPS); it is composed of 75 verses.
The Middle verse is that number 38
It says:

AZ-ZUMAR 39:38

38) " if you ask them who created the heavens and the earth, they will reply: 'Allah. ' say: 'do you think that, if Allah wills to afflict me those you call upon, other than him, could remove his affliction, or, that if he wills to let me have mercy, they could withhold his mercy? 'Say: 'Allah suffices me. Those who put their trust put their trust in him."

The verse indicates that:
1) And if you ask them, ‘Who created the heavens and the earth?’ they will surely say, ‘Allah.’
2) Say: ‘Have you considered then those on whom you call, those whom you worship, besides Allah, namely, the idols, if Allah should desire some harm to befall me, would they be able to remove the harm imposed by Him? No!
3) Or if Allah should desire some mercy for me, would they be able to withhold His mercy?’ No!
4) Say: ‘God is sufficient for me. In Him do all the trusting put their trust’.

This verse talks about 1) the ignorant disbelieved Arabs knew that Allah is the Creator of the heavens and the earth; 2) No one can stop Allah's willpower and 3) Put your trust in Allah.
