3 Brochure Printing Tips You MUST Know

Brochure Printing Tips to Save you Money

Marketing your company can be an expensive, difficult, and thankless job. It is important that you deliver a simple, easy, and clear message to your customer that answers 4 simple questions: What service do you offer? How they can find you? How much does it cost? Why they should choose you instead of the competition? If you run a business and you need to generate "qualified leads" (customers who are informed and ready to buy), then brochure printing may be right for you.

The number one thing to remember is never compromise on quality. Although it can be extremely tempting to try designing your own brochures, or having them printed in grayscale rather than full color, the effects of the "do-it-yourself" mindset on your advertising campaign can be catastrophic. The savings you may make by not hiring a professional designer to put your brochure together, or the money you may keep by not shelling out for full color printing, will be completely eliminated when your brochures fail to achieve their goal and you have a poor response.

Save money on brochure printing without hurting the response that you receive from new customers? Just follow these 3 simple steps.

1) Order in bulk (and well in advance)

As with most things, buying your brochures in bulk will reduce the cost. Ordering multiple batches of lower amounts of brochures, although this may seem to make sense from a marketing point of view, can hit you financially as the extra costs involved mount up. Also, ordering well in advance of when you need the brochures can save you significant amounts of money on shipping, as you enable the printer to more easily plan the logistics of getting your order to you. Although it may be tempting to go with a 24 hour delivery service, it will cost extra money to do so, and waiting just a little bit longer for your brochures may just be worthwhile.

2) Ensure your brochures are printed in full color on glossy paper.

Make sure your brochures are high quality to improve the response from your targeted audience. Although high gloss (or UV coated) heavyweight paper may seem best, it could simply be an unnecesarry expense better avoided.  You may be surprised that printing on standard 60# or 80# gloss paper can look just as professional as the highest quality paper types. Many brochures end up being printed on the heaviest paper because local print shops "upsell" customers, but finding the lowest weight paper that can provide excellent results for you brochures can really save you money.

3) Use an online printing company

Finally, many online printing companies exist today that can save you a considerable amount of money when compared to local print shops. Try and online search and compare prices locally with those found online. 9 out of 10 times you can find you a real bargain when it comes to brochure printing. Make sure you really have found the best deal you can before placing your order.

If you keep these tips in mind, you really can save a lot of money and still have those high quality brochures that your business needs to make it stand out from the crowd.
