Another reason is that with a bigger volume, they can now settle for a smaller profit margin and make up for it with bigger volumes. And now have more bargaining power to negotiate wholesale prices with ink suppliers.

3. Personalized Services

Even customer service is partly automated as well. The online job portal is a way customers can track their print jobs without having to go through a customer service representative. They can simply log-in to access information about their transactions and track the progress of their jobs. This frees up the time of customer service operators to attend to the other needs of customers.

In fact, the internet has opened so many possibilities for both the printing company and the customers themselves. The customers can get printing estimates, upload their files, and send emails anytime. Printing companies on the other hand can offer more services such as an online design tool that can help customers make their design and of course encourage the sale.

You can use the printing company’s example to revamp your own business. How do you improve your marketing strategy, your offers, and your customer service?

What keeps online printing companies profitable is their drive to constantly innovate and provide better services for their clients. In essence, they did two things: 1) They found a need and acted on it and 2) they looked at what works for their customers and improved on it.
