2. Religious or Racial Considerations
• Be neutral. The massive boycotting of Danish products from Middle Eastern countries after the Mohammad cartoons is a testament of how religious sentiments can affect businesses. In some local communities, there can also be some religious tension that can affect your business.
• If your business is situated in a multi-cultural setup on the other hand, your business can imbibe cultural diversity. You can design your print ads in a way that combines and fuses different cultural identities or infuse a certain culture without being specific.
3. Environmental concerns
• The green industry or the business of providing environmentally friendly products is growing. Car manufacturers have developed a hybrid car that sells at premium prices. Paper manufacturers are looking for ways to produce high quality recycled paper.
• Almost any business can use the growing environmental concern to market their brands. Change your plastic bags into paper bags printed with your store name and logo. Send your marketing materials in recycled board paper. Sell organic counterparts of commercially produced items.
