Alternative Uses for Brochures

When people invest in brochure printing, people typically think of travel and business brochures. It is simple common sense to think that printing brochures are done for those specific and common kinds of purposes. However, have you ever thought that printing brochures can be done for a totally different kind of use? It is quite possible. People are always attracted to new kinds of things or ways of doing things. Even something as common as brochure printing can be tasked for a special kind of purpose.

Below are a few alternative and special uses for your brochures. These innovative ideas are a good way to make your marketing strategies look fresh and new.

The poster brochure
One of the best ideas for an alternative brochure design and use is the "poster brochure." Have you ever heard of it? Chances are only a few people really have considered it. Poster brochures are brochures which are destined to be displayed as a poster after being given away. This involves designing your whole brochure in a way that when it is opened up a poster design is displayed. The usual brochure details and literature can be embedded in the "poster design" making a kind of dual purpose art work. This gives this particular print medium the distributiveness of a normal brochure, but with the image impact of an actual small poster. Nice idea huh? You have even have several brochure designs printed so that people can collect them like posters. They might post them in their homes, rooms or offices and you'll have extra exposure accordingly.

Brochure menu/catalog
Another idea for brochures is to convert them into mini menus or catalogs. Menus and catalogs typically display all the products or services that a restaurant or shop may have. Usually though, menus remain with the restaurant and catalogs are sometimes a bit bulky for people to simply whisk away. If you "miniaturize" your menu or catalog in the form of a brochure, then this immediately makes them readily distributable for your customers. They can take your menu or catalog at home and they can peruse them at their own leisure. Of course this means they can also have others read it as well increasing the exposure of your products. So if you have a restaurant or a shop, you may want to create menu brochures or brochure catalogs to help you increase sales.

Coupon brochures
Other shops also have the winning idea to add tear away coupons in their brochures. People like discounts and freebies, but most have received so many marketing brochures over the years that they may be weary of taking brochures as give aways. If you place a tear away coupon in a brochure then a lot of people might be motivated to get your brochure so that they can have the coupons. Of course, that means they probably will read the brochure as they tear away the coupons. You get exposure to your customers and you also get an increase in sales due to the coupons.

Ticket brochures
Related to the coupon brochures are the ticket brochures. If you have an event, show or special service, you can have brochures printed with a ticket attached to it. The brochure part of this print medium will give the special details and offers of your even or service, while the ticket part is of course their way to avail it. The good thing about this brochure printing is that they can show the brochures to their friends and family to invite them in joining in the fun. Once you get a few ticket buyers, the word will spread through the ticket brochures you've given.

So what are you waiting for? Print up these special brochures and amaze your market with their innovative ideas. Or of course you may also have alternative ideas for brochure printing? Remember that all things can be reinvented for other purposes. All you need is a little imagination.
