There are plenty of instruction booklets or write ups on how to get your sticker printing done. You can visit many online printing companies who can sufficiently guide you through the process of ordering.

The Proof of the Matter
How you can navigate an online printers’ site can be fairly easy. Although the set-ups or the manner on how the printers’ sites vary, the process is the same. You need to log-in or register, specify what you need for your stickers such as size and quantity, upload you design, approve the proof and pay.

• With some sticker printing companies, you can waive the proof so you don’t have to wait for it. Once you pay for your job order, it is immediately run through the presses for production. However, this is not highly advisable especially if: you haven’t done sticker printing before or if you have a sticker design that may need to be customized.

• Customization for your stickers may occur if your design requires die cutting or spot colors and the like. To cut it short, if you need details that are not provided within the options on the product page, it is likely that it will be customized.

• Spot colors occur if your design needs Pantone colors. Pantone colors are those that create a consistent color quality. If you have a specific brand or logo with very specific colors, you might want to invest in Pantone colors. Colors are like signature trademarks, like the red of McDonalds and how it differs from Wendy’s.

• Proofing is done by your online printer like any commercial, professional printer. A proofing service, whether it is free or not, is substantial in order for you regulate and observe the print quality of your stickers.

• Proofing is an assessment of whether or not your stickers are up to standard for printing. By this it means, it is free of errors that might jeopardize the outcome of your prints. This evaluation done by professional printers include an evaluation for colors and resolution, among others.

• Your online printer may include some notes or recommendations to make your prints more accurate.

• If the errors that are present could result to a poor print, sometimes, printing companies would contact you immediately, whether or not the job order has been paid for. This may be done through email, voicemail or both.

• Through proofing, you have enough time to make necessary corrections or you can have the professionals take care of it for you. The latter choice, however, may include professional fees which you need to pay for.

• Other than these, you need to check your proofs for typographical errors, spellings and the like. Your printer is of no responsibility or is liable to make corrections for your texts. Printers do not edit your texts.

• Many clients forget the most basic requirements printers need from the sticker designs that are uploaded. The most common errors done concerns bleeds, resolution and that the file be in CMYK.

Get involved with proofing and get involved with your sticker printing as much as possible. Be observant of the details and you will be sure to have stickers that will perform perfectly. Remove any flaws, if there any, with your stickers and avoid regrets. When you come this close to completing your sticker printing, you know it pays to check more than once.
