What Do I Need to Create Custom Stickers?

Do you want to create custom stickers? Well, before you even start on sticker printing, there are few things that you need to prepare to make our sticker printing process a little faster. Below are five of these tools for your reference. Remember these well, so that you can learn what to do to create custom stickers.

• A design platform – First you need a good design platform or your sticker layout. Of course for most people these days, this means creating a design in a computer. Do not be too intimidated about this since there are quite a few easy to use applications out there which can let you design a customer sticker. You just need to be creative and curious and you should be fine. Publishing and imaging tools like Microsoft publisher, Adobe Photoshop or Indesign or even a free software like OpenOffice can be nice and simple design platforms to create custom sticker designs.
• Sticker paper stock – For sticker printing, you will also need sticker paper stock. These paper stocks already have built in adhesives in them that is of course the essence of the sticker. You can find paper stocks like these in stationery stores and office supply stores. They come in different sizes, but one of the most common ones of course is the 8.5 by 11 inch sticker paper stocks. Just use the ones that apply to your printer.
• A good printer – Speaking of printer, proper sticker printing requires a good printer. If you are printing at home this means that you printer must be at least a full color printer with the ability to print in sticker paper stock that are sometimes semi-glossy. If you feel that printing at home is a little iffy though since you lack the skills, then you can just decide on hiring a good online sticker printer. Whatever the case, just make sure that you know what machine are doing the printing so that you can be assured of quality prints
• Cutting materials – Also, when printing at home for custom stickers do not forget cutting materials. This is especially important if your paper stock is the size of a letter since in most cases people will have to cut these design elements from the larger stock. Be sure to use a sharp scissor with a ruler for a guide or you can even use some expert cutting boards and materials if possible.
• Proof reader or editor – Finally do not forget to have a designated proof reader or editor for the sticker layouts. Having a final check is important since it can prevent blatant errors from being mass produced in the stickers. So make sure someone is watching out for errors so that you can correct them as quickly as possible.

Those are five of the most important things that you need to have before starting to mass produce your stickers. Remember them well so that you won’t waste time and money in sticker printing.
