When you want your brochures to do more than what they are intended for, you need to give them that extra stretch that will make your brochure printing pieces keepers, instead of just plain readers.

What do I mean by this? We all know that brochures are most often included in your target readers’ “things that go in the garbage after I read them”. Let’s face it, your brochure printing pieces are considered junk by your prospective clients. They get thrown away that quickly, along with the other marketing tools such as flyers, catalogs, postcards, etc.

You know the drill: your target readers see your brochures, decide that their interesting so they read them. And if they feel they’ll still get more, then your target readers might give your brochure printing pieces more time and attention.

And some of the brochure printing projects in your business field do get more exposure than the rest. What makes other brochures keepers, and others just plain readers?

Providing your target readers with helpful and valuable information, for one, will encourage them to keep your brochure printing project, give it more than the usual attention, refer to it at a later date when needed, and even pass it on to a relative or a friend.

That’s just one of the ways; but if you really want your target readers to keep your brochure printing project, you have to provide a brochure printing project that utilizes design techniques to make your brochures stand out and be recognized right away.

One brochure printing designer suggests that you apply the ‘billboard approach’ in your brochure printing project. With a billboard, it only takes about 3 seconds for people to glance at it and get the message, and then move on to the next. 3 seconds. That’s how long it takes for your target readers to get your message and let it sink in.

You should remember to maximize those 3 seconds. If you only have 3 seconds, then make sure that your brochure printing message will have an impact that will get your target readers to remember you for a long time. (Well, more than 3 seconds for sure.) Use strong and compelling graphics to emphasize your brochure printing content. Brochures that are interesting, witty, and different will always get opened than those which are not engaging.

Provide a clear brochure printing message that would be easy for your target readers to understand. The key to a successful brochure printing content is readable and understandable text. More than a great brochure printing layout, good writing content is also what makes brochures highly effective.

So the next time you start your brochure printing project, plan something that is more than a brochure – create a brochure printing project that is for keeps.
