SEAVUS GROUP IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE RELEASE OF THE NEW VERSION OF SEAVUS PROJECT VIEWER 3.2 – NOW WITH ENHANCED AND SECURITY!

BOSTON, MALMÖ, LONDON [November, 20 2007] – Seavus group is pleased to announce the newest version of Seavus Project Viewer 3.2 with Seavus Secure View add-in.

“We’re very excited about the improved functionality that Seavus Project Viewer will provide to our customers, especially project managers” says Mr. Ristic. “As always, we are dedicated to providing best-of-breed products and support to our customers around the world”.

More about Seavus Project Viewer 3.2:

1. Add-ins:
• Seavus Secure View (SSV) to distribute important information securely – This powerful add-in for Microsoft® Project allows project managers to lock and hide columns that contain information which is not appropriate for certain team members. Once the project plan is saved in .ssv file format, team members can open the file and only see the project plan information that the project managers have pre-determined. This eliminates the inadvertent display of costs and other sensitive information.
• Japanese version – In addition to English, Spanish, German, French and Czech, SPV 3.2 now understands and speaks Japanese.

2. The following features are improved in the NEW version of Seavus Project Viewer 3.2:
• New feature - Chart View
• Resource Pool and Inserted Projects improvements
• Easy project plan Export
• Links between Projects Tools- Links between Projects
• Implemented Custom fields (Tools->Customize->Fields)
• Task entry view
• Task form View
• Bug fixing

Excel 2007 - currency format part 2
By: harperj | 06-08-2008
i have a problem with the way Excel 07 interpretes Windows regional settings.  With the Excel 07 file open and Windows regional settings set to English (United Kingdom), currencies will automatically format themselves to £0,000.00. When Windows regional setting switched to English (United States) the spreadsheet (still open in the background) will switch automatically to $0,000.00 and so on for French etc. However my colleague in the United States can import files and data and they will remain in their original format. So the question is how do I override the windows regional settings in Excel 2007 (formatting is not an option)? There was a similar question entitled 'Excel 2007 - currency format ' from 'drabsv'.  The answer to it didnt solved for individual workbooks but not the underlying problem and was not workable for large numbers of workbooks (many of which are automatically generated).
