Maxwell founded AIS in 1989 and grew AIS into one of the largest business systems furniture manufacturers in the United States.  In 2003, AIS received the 2003 Shingo award, commonly referred to as the Nobel Prize of manufacturing.  Maxwell remained active with AIS throughout its 15-year history, selling the company to a Fortune 500 company in 1996 and reacquiring it in 1999.

“Arthur Maxwell brings a unique exit planning perspective to the table having successfully engineered his exit from AIS as well as its reacquisition.  He’s the caliber of speaker we aspire to have at every XPX event,” said Jeff Hart, a member of the Exit Planning Exchange and a managing partner at Tarlow, Breed, Hart & Rodgers, P.C.

The Exit Planning Exchange (XPX) event with Arthur Maxwell will take place on October 2, from 7:15 am to 9 a.m. in Olin Hall on the main campus of Babson College, 231 Forest Street, Wellesley, Massachusetts. The cost for the event is $45 if you pre-register, $60 at the door. To RSVP, please contact Cheryl Warren-Powers, of the Exit Planning Exchange at Cheryl@exitplanningexchange.com or 508-440-4104.

A well-prepared and successful exit for every business owner is XPX’s vision.  XPX is a member-driven non-profit organization of professionals who help business owners and entrepreneurs successfully exit their businesses by sale, merger or other business succession strategy. The organization adds depth, definition and content to the emerging Exit Planning field by offering its members an opportunity to share and create interdisciplinary tools, processes and education.  XPX also provides its membership opportunities to build key resource relationships to help their clients plan for a successful exit.
