The True Goal of Gayatri Worship/meditation By: Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya | 15/07/2007 Deeper than this gross mind is the layer of the subtle mind. Its 2 major areas are 1) psyche and 2) ego. The psyche is made up of imprints, habits, likes, character, qualities etc. Ego means the sense of limited “I” and hence also means opinion about oneself. If a person thinks himself to be rich/poor, Brahmin/ Shudra, pure hearted /sinner, good fortuned / ill fated, man/ woman, foolish /wise, lowly /great, living being/ God, bound/ free etc. then he has that type of an Ego. Who are the Hypocrites Who Deserve Woe in the Sacred Books? By: Prof.dr. Ibrahim Khalil | 28/06/2007 According to the Bible, the obvious examples of the Hypocrites are the Pharisees and the lawyers who were the top religious Jews; Jesus described them as: 1) They shut up the kingdom of heaven against men, 2) They devour widows' houses, and make long prayer, 3) They swear by the gold of the temple, 4) They omit the law, judgment, mercy, and faith, 5) They make clean the outside but the interior is full of extortion, 6) They build the tombs of the prophets who were killed by their fathers! 7) They love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets, 8) they are as graves which appear not, etc.
On the other hand, the Quran says that 1) The Hypocrites' hearts are hardened against the Remembrance of Allah., 2) they are the diminishers (defrauders), who, when people measure for them, take full measure, but when they measure or weigh for others, they reduce!, 3) Each one of them is a scandal-monger and-backbiter, who is gathered wealth, thinking his wealth will render him immortal, 4) They deny the Day of judgment, repulse the orphan, do not encourage the feeding of the needy, neglect their prayers and want to be seen, 5) They do not prostrate and worship their Lord and belie the Quran! Then the Quran is forewarning them and says: eat and enjoy yourselves in this life, it is little!, and the Quran asks them: Did we not destroy the ancients (the former generations)?, then the Quran depicts their ultimate fate at the Day of Judgment! Why the Entire World Ought to Have Woe in Bible Versus Quran? By: Prof.dr. Ibrahim Khalil | 27/06/2007 According to the Bible, there are many Woes to the Israelites (in six verses), Woes to Jerusalem, the bloody city! (In five verses) then there are another five Woes that are allied to the Israelites ; and they are Woes to: 1) the shepherds of Israel, 2) Ephraim (one of the Israelites' tribes), 3) Ariel, the city where David dwelt, 4) Zion and 5) the daughter of Zion.
In addition, then there are a dozen of Woes distributed unto 1) Moab, 2) Philistines, 3) Assyrian, 4) the land which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia, 5) those who go to Egypt, 6) Babylon, 7) Cherethites!, 8) the land of the Philistines, 9) Unrepentant Cities, 10) Chorazin!, 11) Bethsaida and 12) the multitude of many people. However, the most interesting feature is that there are three Woes (Woe, Woe, and Woe) to the inhabiters of the Earth and to the entire World.
On the other hand, the Quran never mentions any specific nation and/or place in relation to Woe. Allah is warning some kinds of people with Woe. Such people may be found in any nation and in any place. Woe to the unbelievers for a terrible punishment, Woe to the unbelievers because of the Fire! , Woe to the unbelievers for their Day which they were promised!, Woe to those who disbelieve for the scene of a Dreadful Day, Woe to the idolaters, Woe to those who did evil among the punishment of a Painful Day and Woe to those who write the Book with their own hands and then say: 'This is from Allah, ' in order to gain a small price for it. So Woe to them for what their hands have written, and Woe to them for their earnings. Read

What Do the Bible and Quran Say About "who Said Woe Unto Me? By: Prof.dr. Ibrahim Khalil | 25/06/2007 According to the Bible, King David, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Job, Micah, the Philistines and, the daughter of Zion said, all of them said: Woe is me or Woe unto me.

Woe unto us, who shall deliver us out of the hand of these mighty Gods? And the daughter of Zion: Woe is me now! For my soul is wearied because of murderers.
On the other hand, the Quran says that when an unbeliever sees his book that recorded his deed he will say: 'Woe to me would that my book had not been given to me! And the Unbelievers will say: 1) Woe for us! 'Who has roused us from our graves? This is what Allah promised; the messengers have spoken the truth! ', 2) Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment! , 3) Woe to us! We did wrong indeed!" and 4) 'woe to us, truly we were insolent Read

Death as an Ally - How Shamans Perceive Death By: Howard G Charing | 22/06/2007 In our society and culture, death is something dark, mysterious, and fearful. Ancient cultures did not regard death as an enemy, but dared to make it an ally. It is ultimately about daring to live fearlessly from the centre of one’s truth, to challenge and defeat the tendency to inertia, fear of life and premature old age. To quote one of the great teachers, the Peruvian shaman Don Eduardo Calderon: ‘a shaman is someone who is already dead and thus has no fear of death or life’. Read

Who Played the Harlot (whore) in Bible and Quran? By: Prof.dr. Ibrahim Khalil | 15/06/2007 The Bible says that 1) Tamar, Judah's daughter in law is the first woman in the Bible which played the harlot
, 2) if the daughter of any priest played the whore she shall be burnt with fire, 3) If a girl gets married and found that she is not virgin, the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she dies, 4) upon every high hill and under every green tree thou wanderest, playing the harlot, 5) thou hast played the harlot with many lovers, 6) Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she hath played the harlot, 7) The backsliding Israel committed adultery and her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also, 8) Jerusalem played the harlot (repeated four times), 9) Aholah played the harlot when she was mine (Mine is referred to the Lord!), 10) Aholah's sister, Aholibah which is Jerusalem, multiplied her whore and adultery! 11) they go in unto a woman that playeth the harlot, 12) their mother hath played the harlot and 13) Israel plays the harlot.
On the other hand, the Quran says that 1) leave them playing, until they encounter the Day of Judgment, 2) avoid those who take their religion as playing and 3) The life of this world is nothing but a play. while the Everlasting Residence is the Eternal Life, if they but knew. Read
