It is quite rare that you find someone who wanted to pursue psychology as a child. Many a time most people will stumble upon it when picking something to major in, or after taking a few psychology classes, they may decide it’s the way to go. Child Psychology for example is one branch of psychology that deals with children’s experiences and their responses to these experiences. The role of a child psychologist is to help the child deal with these experiences and help them strike a balance for positive living. A person who picks this branch of psychology will for example have to be a very patient individual and most of all, like children.
For one to have a successful career in psychology, they need to be dedicated, patient and open to new ideas as there is always new research being published.
