Liking

When I come to know that someone likes me, I feel elated and proud.

I do not know why someone likes me?

I ponder over it for a minute.

One may like another one because of physical charm or intelligence or something unique in one’s contribution to the society.

But I am neither charming physically, nor very intelligent and not even done something great

Then why someone should like me?

I felt strange.

It is quite normal that one cannot like all others.

Only certain people are chosen to like owing to some unknown reasons.

Liking is not loving which has a different meaning.

But nowadays liking is equated with loving.

I like a drink because I like its taste.

I like a particular food because it is palatable for me and like wise I like a person because I am comfortable with him or her.

I like certain type of music which is pleasant to hear.

In a group of people we may like a person at first sight.

It may be due to his/her physical attraction; because of the dress, style, poise etc. etc.

We do like some of the celebrities in film world, business world or even in political world just by looking at them either in TV or in newspapers.

Among these celebrities we like certain particular celebrity but some other may like the others according to their taste which differ invariably from person to person.

One of my colleagues like shah Rukh Khan, the actor and sees all his films without missing anyone.

She has not contact with him more than seeing him in the screen.

When I mentioned about SRK to another colleague she said: ‘Oh no! that horrible fellow!’

What a contrasting opinion about the same person by two women who have not contact what so ever with SRK except seeing him in the screen!

Therefore I feel that one is fortunate if someone likes him or her.

I do feel great when some says few kind words because of the liking towards me.

Similarly everyone should feel and start liking others depending on the taste one has.

In a society, the social like depends on this sort of liking.

Such likings may grow into friendship which is very essential in one’s life.

Living alone does not give happiness always.

So we need someone to share our happiness or sadness.

They will always help us to give more happiness or reduce the sadness.

Certainly we have special liking for persons, things and achievements.

When we appreciate such likings, life becomes more and more meaningful and sensational.

Liking is satisfaction and is pleasing.
