Why You Should Think Twice About Outsourced Marketing

If you're a sceptic when it comes to outsourcing various processes in your company, including outsourced marketing, maybe it's time you take a look at the potential benefits. Not all processes can or should be outsourced. Marketing is something that, with the right professional expertise, could be very worthwhile to have done by an outside company. This is especially true if you're a small business with limited staff who prefers to pay only for results.

There are many potential benefits to outsourcing marketing for your company but here are a few:

1. People that hire marketing specialists to handle their marketing can focus on their core business. Instead of having to be a specialist in your niche as well as in marketing, you can leave the marketing to the experts. This can help you gain a substantial advantage in your industry.

2. Outsourced marketing professionals make it their job to stay up to date on trends. Having a specialist who is focused on self-education in-house can be distracting for an employee and costly for you. When you outsource, you're not paying for someone while they get knowledgeable; they do that on their own time and come to you equipped with knowledge and expertise. This can equate to more value for your money.

3. When you use an outsourced marketing model, you only pay for the services you use. This means substantial cost-savings to you because you're able to purchase a la carte services as you need them. No idle employees between big campaigns.

4. Some marketing agencies offer guaranteed results. You can't get guaranteed results when you hire someone directly.

5. It's much easier to chance consultancy firms when they're not working out like you had hoped versus having to let a full-time employee go. You can set up terms with a consultant based on a per-project basis or a contract basis. This added flexibility in outsourcing leaves you with more choices.

6. The expertise and experience of a consultant allows them to think outside the box. When you have in-house staff, they are business centric in your niche, yes, but that's not always helpful when you need to gain a competitive advantage. Many customers are seeing more results with an expert that isn't confined to one company's methods because of the fact that the expert continually assimilates knowledge and new information based on every client he or she takes on.

7. Marketing companies build partnerships across verticals and as such can be amazing hubs of information and referrals.

8. Marketing firms typically bring their own tools with them and work remotely so this saves you substantially on costs of software solutions and office space.

9. Hiring a marketing company to work for you means less work for you --- and more profit.

There are definitely going to be aspects of your business that need to be handled by you alone but in terms of outsourced marketing options, hiring qualified help can make a massive difference to your work-life balance and to your success.
