How do I begin- in US or Japan?
By: Victorious | 20-03-2008
I am a graphic designer and desire to create an LLC offering graphics, web design, and computer based services. My family is relocating to Japan in one month. I want to begin conducting business during our family's time in Japan. My questions are as follows: Does it makes more sense to register my business here in the US employing a registered agent in the States, or to wait until I am in Japan? Also, would you advise that I do the necessary research and structure my business to serve both Japanese and American clients with my low level of business experience? I am learning Japanese but have almost no familiarity with Japanese culture.

I am looking for unique company or business ideas.
By: jukim | 30-01-2008
I am looking for unique companies that have a continuity (e.g. subscription plan or auto-ship) business model * Definition of Continuity Businesses: Sales made in series, small amounts or periodically rather than one at a time. Usually a set of products/services with a common theme (books, records, collectibles, etc.). Basically, continuity businesses expend only an initial selling expense to generate periodic and regular revenues over time.* Examples of Continuity Businesses: Book of the Month Club, Gift of the Month Clubs (fruit, cheese, wine, etc.), Coin Series (State Quarters, Presidential Dollars, etc.), Discount Clubs (AutoVantage, Buyers Advantage, etc.), Newsletters/Magazine Subscriptions, NetFlix, Columbia House Videos/CD Club, Gevalia Coffee * Any and all ideas will be greatly appreciated! Again, I am looking for actual companies. Thanks!
