Why would you want to quit? This list is exactly why I quit. Everyone's brain reacts differently to weed, Jeremy. I've been a stoner for the past 4 years, and I loved the herb, but that doesn't mean I can go on forever using it as a crutch. Everyone's got to grow up sometime. Perhaps you're just not included in that 'everyone.' To each his own, buddy.

I've just turned 18 and have been smoking weed since I was 13. It began just being something me and a few friends would do for fun. When I first started I only a had a joint every now and then. Within a year, I was smoking it in shotty's and I am still doing now, daily. What's strange is that I've only just seemed to realise just how bad it is for me. When I'm stressed, or even when I'm not, when I'm just bored, the shotty is the first thing I will reach for. But instead of any of the good feelings I used to get, it makes me feel even worse. I used to have loads of friends, now I stay in all day, working out how to get money to get more weed. I'm 18 and yet there are dark circles under my eyes. I don't see my friends anymore and my self confidence has hit rock bottom. I used to know who I am, but now I don't see the same girl. Sometimes I hate myself. I don't want to sound pathetic either but sometimes I'm ok, I can have a laugh and a joke, but most of the time I feel like the whole world is against me. When I forst started smoking it and read of the effects, I thought no, I'm a young bubbly outgoing girl, that wont happen to me. It must be just sad old people fed up with theirm lives, that get the depression and paranoia. It isn't. Looking back now, everything has changed for me. I'm a shadow of my former self. I don't know how to give it up. It's not that I'm addicted, I know the drug isn't addictive. But I feel like I need the high. What do I do?

I smoked grass for 6 years and i feel like i actaully missed out on some things. I was high all the time and when i wasn't i was always thinking about it. It got to a point where i was simply bored with getting high and i didn't feel like i was living up to what i could. I abused it. People say its not addicting but it really was. I could of been spending the large amounts of cash on somthing better, the time could of been used to learn somthing new, and Id have something to show for it. I do believe pot can be used responsibly but the truth is, most "stoners" don't. The hardest thing for me after stopping is chilling with my buddies, because they are normally high and want to sit around and do nothing. The conversations they have and i use to laugh and take part in no longer are amusing because of how incredibly stupid thier ideas are. I still love em as my friends but, damn, stoners really do sound like idiots. When your stoned and sound like an idiot all the time its really what you become.

Why would you want to quit smoking marijuana, honestly? Your list just provides a few things that aren't true for all pot smokers and then repeats them in a reworded sentence. Marijuana is not the problem here because it has not been proven to be physically addictive. The REAL problem that we have in America is cigarette smoking. Cigarettes are far worse for you than marijuana in every aspect, so you should be writing for those people rather than stoners.
