Smoking has taken such a large proportion that it has graduated from an addiction to an epidemic. Today it is no less than an epidemic. Millions of people are imprisoned in this fateful addiction. Millions are being spent on smoke on daily. The rich and the poor, the old and the young, male and female, all are slave to the addiction of smoking.

Smoking is a hazard not only for the smoker but also to the ones around. A female smoker can bring in risks not only for herself but also for her unborn child. The smoke from the tobacco is dangerous for the environment. The addiction of smoking is taking a dangerous look now. It is no less than an epidemic and is bringing in immense loss to human resources as such. Smoking diminishes the longevity of a person considerably. Smoking kills the enthusiasm and gusto of a person. It even kills the hunger. This is one reason why the poor and the illiterate take to smoking. It is unbelievable that among the poor and the illiterate the parents themselves encourage their children to take up smoking so that they don't feel hungry.

Tobacco can be incurred at quite a low price. Thus it becomes accessible to the poorest of the poor. Therefore they prefer buying the fag with the little they have then having to buy food. Secondly, smoking also induces a person into a trance. Therefore it is not surprising that smoking is a very common addiction among the poor and the deprived. However, this does not; mean that the rich are free from the addiction. They too are equally inflicted. The only difference is that their purpose of having the fag is different and the difference also comes in the price of the fag.

In countries like India and Africa where a considerable number of people are still living in the extreme strides of poverty, 90% of the people living below the poverty line are into the addiction of smoking. The results are believed to be seen by the year 2010 when there is estimated to be a million deaths half of them among the poor and the illiterate class. The results of the survey were heart rending. 1 in 5 deaths among men and 1 in 20 deaths among women will be caused by the addiction of smoking in the coming years. However, the interesting fact is that the people in India take to smoking later in their lives and smoke fewer cigarettes or bidis (indigenous Indian cigarette) and still the risks are the same as their western counterparts! Deaths related to smoking disorders are also at a high in India. As most of the smoking population of India is from the poorer section of the society, anti smoking drugs like Chantix are not within their financial and intellectual limits. They are ignorant of the drugs like Pfizer Chantix, and how they can be procured. But for those who are aware of quit smoking drugs would know that you can buy chantix like drugs online as well as offline. People prefer to buy chantix online as it is the easy way out. Just make sure that you take proper medical consultancy before you order chantix online
