In the Quran: What is the Essential Memo of all Allah's Messengers?

The Sons of the Lord God in Bible versus Quran (4)

This is the fourth article of the series:" The Sons of the Lord God in Bible versus Quran".

  1. In the Bible, the Lord God, the Almighty Creator, says that the Israelites will be called 'sons of the living God.'   In the Quran Allah, the Almighty Creator, says that all the Angels, Jinn and mankind are Allah' servants.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Sons of the Lord God in the Bible (4)

  1. In the Bible, the Lord God says that the Israelites will be called 'sons of the living God.'   Does this mean that is racially prejudiced and is in favor of the Israelites?

Racism is a doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others

In the Quran, Allah says that all the creatures including the Angels, Jinn and mankind are Allah' servants.

Also, the Lord God said that the number of the sons of Israel Will be like the sand of the sea, Which cannot be measured or numbered. As a matter of fact, the number of the sons of Israel can easily be measured.

The difference between the Sons of God and the Israelites

It is also interesting that the Lord God says that the Israelites will be called 'sons of the living God.'  However, when talking about the Sons of God who married the daughter of men, the Bible says that they are: the Sons of God (full stop) and does not say that they are the Sons of the Living God!

----------------------------

Hosea 1:10 in five different versions of the Bible:

New International Version

10 "Yet the Israelites will be like the sand on the seashore, which cannot be measured or counted. In the place where it was said to them, 'You are not my people,' they will be called 'sons of the living God.'

New American Standard Bible

10Yet the number of the sons of Israel Will be like the sand of the sea, Which cannot be measured or numbered; And in the place Where it is said to them, "You are not My people," It will be said to them, "You are the sons of the living God."

English Standard Version

10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be like the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured or numbered. And in the place where it was said to them, "You are not my people," it shall be said to them, "Children of the living God."

King James Version

10Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.

Young's Literal Translation

10and the number of the sons of Israel hath been as the sand of the sea, that is not measured nor numbered, and it hath come to pass in the place where it is said to them, Ye [are] not My people, it is said to them, Sons of the Living God;

----------------------------

Romans 9:26 in five different versions of the Bible:

New International Version

26and, "It will happen that in the very place where it was said to them, 'You are not my people,' they will be called 'sons of the living God.' "

New American Standard Bible

26"AND IT SHALL BE THAT IN THE PLACE WHERE IT WAS SAID TO THEM, 'YOU ARE NOT MY PEOPLE,' THERE THEY SHALL BE CALLED SONS OF THE LIVING GOD."

English Standard Version

26 "And in the very place where it was said to them, 'You are not my people,' there they will be called 'sons of the living God.'"

King James Version

26And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.

Young's Literal Translation

26and it shall be -- in the place where it was said to them, Ye [are] not My people; there they shall be called sons of the living God.'

The Sons of the Lord God in the Quran (4)

On the other hand, the Quran makes it very clear and says that Allah, the Almighty Creator, has neither a son nor a partner.

The Quran firmly forbids saying that Allah has a son.

It is not befitting for the Majesty of Allah to take to Himself a son.

In Islam, this point is very important faith wise.

In a very simple word, Allah, the Almighty Creator, has neither a son nor a partner.

Again, it is unforgivable sin to say or to believe that The One Almighty Creator who is Allah or God or the Lord or Jehovah or whatever you name Him has a son or Sons.

From the Islamic point of view, the conclusion of this essential topic that may establish or destroy the faith is that:

Any one who believe that the Almighty Creator has a son or Sons; he messes his faith up and is considered as a disbeliever and in the afterlife he will end up as an eternal inhabitant of the hell.

Any one who believes that the Creator has neither a son nor a partner he has a good faith and is considered as a believer and in the afterlife he will end up as an eternal inhabitant of the paradise.

Furthermore, we have seen in the article: The Sons of the Lord God in Bible versus Quran (3) that a biblical version translates the Hebrew "Sons of God" to Angels!   For this reason, an account on the Angels and their relation to the son of God from the Islamic point of view is given

Verses 21:25-29 talk about this important topic.

----------------------------------------

The meanings of Verse 21:25-29:

The meaning of verse 21:25

And Allah sent no messenger before you, O Muhammad, but revealed to him: tell your people that they should say: There is no God save Allah, so worship Me and declare and affirm My divine Oneness.

The meaning of verse 21:26

And the disbelievers say, ‘The Compassionate One has taken a son’, from the angels.

He is glorified!   Allah exonerated Himself from having children or partners.

Nay, rather the Angels are servants whom Allah has honored with obeying Him;

The meaning of verse 21:27

They do not speak before Him; they only speak after He has spoken, and they act according to His command, and they, i.e. the angels, say and do in accordance with Allah's command.

The meaning of verse 21:28

Allah knows what is before them and what is behind them, that is, what they have done and what they will do, and they do not intercede except for him with whom He is satisfied, that he be interceded for, and they, for awe of Him, exalted be He, are apprehensive, fearful.

In other words, Allah knows what is before them of the matter of the Hereafter and what is behind them) of the matter of this worldly life, and they i.e. the angels cannot intercede on the Day of Judgment except for him whom He accepted; except for those who profess Allah's divine Oneness and with whose monotheism Allah is pleased,

and they quake for awe of Him, among those who fear Him.

The meaning of verse 21:29

And one of them, of the angels; and it is said this means: of created beings who should say: Lo! I am a god beside Allah, which one Allah should repay with hell.

Hell will be his lot because of this.

Thus Allah repays wrong-doers; thus Allah repays disbelievers.

It is also said that the verse means:

And should any of them say, ‘I am a god besides Him’, that is, besides Allah,

in other words, [a god] other than Him; and this is Ibl?s, Satan, who summoned others to worship his soul and commanded that it be obeyed; such a one Allah will requite with Hell. Thus, in the same way that Allah requites him, Allah also requites the wrong-doers, the idolaters.

----------------------------------------

Verse 21:25-29 of the Noble Quran in four different translations:

Verses 21:25

QARIB: we never sent a messenger before you except that we revealed to him saying: 'there is no god except me, therefore, worship me. '

SHAKIR: and we did not send before you any messenger but we revealed to him that there is no god but me, therefore serve me

PICKTHAL: and we sent no messenger before thee but we inspired him, (saying): there is no Allah save me (Allah), so worship me.

YUSUFALI: not a messenger did we send before thee without this inspiration sent by us to him: that there is no god but i; therefore worship and serve me.

Verses 21:26

QARIB: they say 'the merciful has taken a son. 'exaltations are to him!  no, they are only his honored worshipers,

SHAKIR: and they say: the beneficent Allah has taken to himself a son. glory be to him. nay! they are honored servants

PICKTHAL: and they say: the beneficent hath taken unto himself a son. be he glorified! nay, but (those whom they call sons) are honoured slaves;

YUSUFALI: and they say: "(Allah) most gracious has begotten offspring." glory to him! they are (but) servants raised to honour.

Verses 21:27

QARIB: who do not surpass him in speech, and do as he commands.

SHAKIR: they do not precede him in speech and (only) according to his commandment do they act

PICKTHAL: they speak not until he hath spoken, and they act by his command.

YUSUFALI: they speak not before he speaks, and they act (in all things) by his command.

Verses 21:28

QARIB: he knows what is before them and what is behind them. they intercede for none except for him whom he is well pleased, and they tremble in awe of him.

SHAKIR: he knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they do not intercede except for him whom he approves and for fear of him they tremble

PICKTHAL: he knoweth what is before them and what is behind them, and they cannot intercede except for him whom he accepteth, and they quake for awe of him.

YUSUFALI: he knows what is before them, and what is behind them, and they offer no intercession except for those who are acceptable, and they stand in awe and reverence of his (glory).

Verses 21:29

QARIB: if any one of them says: 'i am a god other than him, ' we will recompense him with gehenna (hell). as such we recompense the harm doers.

SHAKIR: and whoever of them should say: surely i am a god besides him, such a one do we recompense with hell; thus do, we recompense the unjust

PICKTHAL: and one of them who should say: lo! i am a god beside him, that one we should repay with hell. thus we repay wrong-doers.

YUSUFALI: if any of them should say, "i am a god besides him", such a one we should reward with hell: thus do we reward those who do wrong.
