Far too often, people think that buying or selling a property can be done without help from anybody. After all, you, of all people, know just how much your property is worth. All you have to do is just put up your house for listing, if you are a seller, or go through various lists, if you are a buyer.
If, however, you are someone who is always on the go, your main resort would be to get the services of a real estate agent. Of course, as a safeguard, you have to conduct several interviews before choosing which agent to hire.
Or you could get in touch with Realtor.
Before you get confused, your agent and those that are known as North Virginia Realtors both deal with real estate and are both certified and authorized to buy or sell properties in behalf of their clients. The difference, however, lies in the fact that “Realtors” technically refer to people who are members of the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
As members of NAR, North VA Realtors are bound by a specific code of ethics. For the client, this naturally means more protection from unscrupulous individuals. Some of the things that a Realtor member needs to follow include upholding the interest of their clients above their own, staying away from any form of misrepresentation, cooperating with other brokers and agents if it would benefit the client, keep themselves from collecting any commission or third-party fees without the consent of the client involved, and keep themselves from discriminating clients based on their color, gender, or race. They are also not allowed to mix their money with the client’s in order to avoid problems with accountability. Aside from this, the NAR code of ethics also prevents Realtors from bad mouthing other members and engaging in false advertisements.
Arlington Virginia Realtors are just part of the more than one million members of the National Association of Realtors. It is because of their stringent by-laws and code of ethics that more and more people prefer their services over those real estate agents that were licensed only by their state or local government.
