The most expensive single family houses in Hawaii

Kailua tops the list of the most expensive houses on the market with one of the  houses offered at $24,500,000. Other millionaire delights are located in  Diamond Head, Kahala, Hawaii Loa Ridge, and Portlock.

The cheapest houses on Oahu are on the west coastal area between Nanakuli and Makaha. Just in case you wonder, the cheapest house on Oahu is offered at only $95k, however, it is a leasehold, and you have to be at least 50% Hawaiian to buy it.

Price per square foot for condos

For condos, most of the buildings with the most expensive price per square foot are in Waikiki, Kakaako, and Diamond Head areas.   

Condos with the cheapest square feet are located in Makaha and Nanakuli. However, there are some good deals in the north west side of Waikiki and in the Pearl City area.   

Year built for single family houses   

There are very old houses on Kauai, Oahu, and Big Island.  Not surprisingly, however, most of the the oldest houses are located in Honolulu.

At the top of the list is a 5 bedroom house on Mapu Lane in Honolulu that was built in 1902. New houses are being built all over the island.   

Year built for condo buildings

Both the newest and the oldest condobuildings are spread through the Honolulu area.The oldest ones were built around 1950s, and the newest ones are still under construction :)
