Miami Apartments for Rent Survival Tip: Dealing with the Noisy Neighbor

After a long day at work, all you’re probably looking for is a good night’s rest. But if you’re neighbor with a party animal, you might be in for some night of wall-shattering loud music. Parties are not the only problem with noisy neighbors; bickering couples and, let’s face it, hot steamy nights also top the list of late-night galls. Every apartment, even Miami apartments for rent, has one or two of these tenants; and if you’re neighbor with one, here are some tips to help you deal with the vexation.

1. Tête-à-tête

Mistakes are hardly corrected by another mistake. If you’re planning to deal with a noisy neighbor at your Miami apartment for rent, instead of complaining, a nicer approach can sometimes do the trick. Establish a harmonious relationship with them by bringing over some treats or inviting them for a *censored*tail party at your place. Once you managed to build rapport, don’t hesitate to drop hints of late night noises coming from their apartment. But instead of merely informing your neighbor of the problem, it will be helpful to work out a solution together.

Friendly gestures are for people with lengthy patience, and who experience only minor disturbances. If the problem is greater, however, you’d better skip this and move on to number two.

2. Talk to the landlord

After weeks of trying to build a friendly relationship with your neighbor, it will be greatly disappointing if changes don’t occur. If this happens, you can turn to the landlord of your Miami apartment for rent. Noises, which are particularly excessive to the point that they deter your ability to perform daily (or nightly) activities, should be immediately addressed to your landlord.

You can even turn to the police if the situation hasn’t improved. Yet if the noise fails to disappear, you can always seek legal actions for the nuisance your neighbor caused.

3. The passive pacifist approach

Before confronting your neighbor about the problem, remember to face that fact that his or her behavior will be totally out of your control. Instead of trying to change the person for the better, you can change your apartment for the best.

The pacifist approach may be the most suitable solution for this kind of problem. Soundproofing your walls by installing acoustic panels, cork boards or carpets is an excellent answer to your problem. But, of course, before doing so, you must check the rules of your Miami apartment for rent, or ask your landlord about your plans.
