Before you can determine whether or not a property is an advantageous investment, you must figure out how much the property will generate. A bad investment may be more detrimental than it is worth, therefore, one must be very cautious. It is not in your best interest to buy a home in a neighborhood where a comparable home took more than a year to sell. That property would never generate a reasonable profit.
