Not only the fact that an online presence at web 2.0 and social media has such a far reach is important, think about credibility for a second? A person is looking for a house in the area where you have your real estate business. They are from another area, they see and ad for your services in a newspaper or real estate magazine are interested. What do they do? They go online to find out more about your business, and see if you are reputable.

You have no idea how many potential clients can be put off from using your services, if they go online and all you have is a splash page, or absolutely nothing available for them to read about. A web site with plenty of recent, valid and interesting content adds a huge amount of credibility to any kind of business.

The fact that real estate internet marketing is able to reach vast amounts of potential buyers and sellers is only the tip of the iceberg in having an online presence. Agents, investors, and mortgage brokers who advertise online should at the very least have their own website to lead a prospect to. Clients who are looking for a new house in the middle of the night when they can't sleep are going to go online to see who can help them. This applies to property rentals also.
