Recent Trends in Sofia Real Estate

If we look into the market of real estate in Sofia, well-managed residential and business complexes are standing out as a factor on the market that attracts increasing attention. Well developed in Europe, these are just starting to gain popularity in Bulgaria. The reason for this are the expectations for economic development and business that would quarantine excellent return on the investments in real estate, as well as the already increased number of international companies in Bulgaria, resulting in a growing number of professionals with an increased income.

This results in increased demand for higher real estate quality, including a wide range of requirements on location, amenities and traffic connections. An example on the way these new requirements are met, can be given with the new City of Fountains, a multi-purpose real estate development that is planed to incorporate residential buildings, office premises, recreational and retail facilities.

City of Fountains is designed in such a way as to meet the expectations of the increasing number of young professional families – the newly formed group in society that, driven by their successful carrier, are looking for new standards in Sofia real estate. What this new complex offers is a combination of high quality residential premises, combined with a range of leisure facilities (restaurants, cafes, swimming pool, SPA and fitness centre) and shopping area (supermarket plus a boutique selection), plus several office buildings.

Of course, what people are looking for is not just all these things, but the proper combination between all of the elements, so that all the things that contribute to a living environment are of high executional quality. They do not want the product only, what they are actually looking for is the brand: something to make it unique and standing out. In the concrete example of City of Fountains, it is, as the name of the complex says, the fountains, which are used as the point of differentiation vs. future copycats. A number of contemporary and original fountains throughout the complex will add to the landscaped environment both with a touch of class and an atmosphere of serenity.

This is just the first out of a number of new complexes that are sure to grow in Sofia, driven by the market demand. Within just a few years, these will have become a part of the residential landscape of the city.
