Those who are drawn to the hill country just a few miles to the north of Austin, Texas, are likely to already be aware of all that the town of Round Rock has to offer. With only a short commute from Round Rock into Austin, those who are done living in the city but who aren't entirely ready to give up the city life will find a number of the communities within Round Rock that will help them to own a home of their own and have access to a wide variety of options and activities that will make them happy that they chose to explore.

One community that tends to draw attention - especially from those who are looking into buying their first homes - is the Round Rock neighborhood of Green Slopes. The reason for this is relatively simple: not only does Green Slopes offer beautiful homes in Texas hill country, but the cost of homes in Green Slopes falls between $80,000 and $145,000. Low prices are a big part of the draw to the area, but that doesn't mean they are the only draw.

Children in the Green Slopes community will attend Xenia Voigt Elementary School, CD Fulkes Middle School and Stony Point High School. In addition, with a wide variety of parks and recreation centers, those couples with younger children - or who are expecting - will find that Green Slopes and other Round Rock communities are a great place to raise a family.

Large employers are in the Round Rock area, the schools are notable and in communities like Green Slopes the home prices are affordable; already, this is a combination of elements that isn't present everywhere. Add into the mix the chance to see minor league baseball games within Round Rocks, the ready access to health care for those who need it and easy access to shopping centers like La Frontera, Lake Line Mall and Round Rock Prime Outlets and it will not take long to see why so many people are drawn to the area.

Round Rock, Texas, has a great deal to offer to those who choose to call the area home; discover for yourself all of the benefits of moving into Green Slopes or one of Round Rock's other communities.
