Vista Celebrates History Of San Diego County

Residing in the northern area of San Diego County, Vista real estate is alive with the beauty of Southern California. With stunning natural attributes, ideal location, and prospering economy, the vicinity has become a popular option for potential home buyers. The historic character of the Vista area adds to the charm of this family-oriented community, providing an atmosphere unlike any other.

Perfect Location of Vista Real Estate

Seven miles inland from the Pacific Ocean, Vista real estate is situated in the rolling coastal hills of Northern San Diego County. With the San Diego downtown area located just 45 miles north, the area is perfect for those enamored by the ambiance of small town living, but also enjoy the advantages and excitement of a big city.

Named "the ideal place to raise a family," the community is known for its high standard of education. Vista is home to one of the best school systems in Southern California, and employs some of the highest paid teachers in the nation. These phenomenal educators possess an outstanding reputation, and add to the popularity of this booming community.

Vista Real Estate Filled with History

Vista real estate is famous for its historic charm and traits. Once predominately a farming area, the area still displays remnants of the past. Although the prospering Vista real estate market has taken control of the once sprawling agricultural fields, the citrus and avocado trees of old still hold a significant place in this diverse town.

Vista real estate averages $500,000 per home. Price tags can range, however, from a reasonable $300,000 to a hefty $3 million. Possibilities include modern apartments and townhouses, expansive single-family estates, and smaller, older homes. While early Vista centered around farming, housing today is built mostly for convenience. Modern housing in the area consists of large, contemporary homes, with ample driveways, and grand front and back yard areas. The homes of the past may not be as large, but they exude an air of history rarely present in the more modern real estate offerings. As these quaint homes decrease in number, the demand for these historic properties flourishes.

There are numerous recreational activities and noted attractions surrounding Vista real estate. There are several famed museums located around the Vista area, including the Antique Gas and Steam Museum and The Vista Historical Museum. The area is also home to "The Wave," a water park that provides hours of enjoyment for all. A mild climate and breathtaking natural landscape caters to many year-round outdoor activities. Hiking, fishing, and swimming are just a few hobbies readily enjoyed in the Vista community.
