6 Great Cocktail Recipes Just in Time for Your New Year's Eve Party

Crabmeat Cocktail

2 tbsp chili sauce

2 tbsp lemon juice

2 tbsp French dressing

1/4 tsp salt

few grains of cayenne pepper

1/4 tsp meat sauce

1 cp flaked crabmeat

Combine the ingredients in the order given and then chill. Arrange in cocktail glasses and garnish with small sprigs of parsley.

Shrimp Cocktail

1 cp tomato juice

2 tbsp horseradish

2 tbsp minced green pepper

1/4 tsp onion juice

1/2 tsp meat sauce

1.2 tbsp lemon juice

1/4 tsp salt

few grains black pepper

1 cp shredded, diced, cooked, or canned shrimps

Combine the ingredients and chill. Place in small sherbet glasses lined with watercress sprigsServe with crisp cheese wafers

Sauerkraut Cocktail

1/2 cp shredded fresh tomatoes

1 cp sauerkraut

few drops meat sauce

1/2 tbsp lemon juice

1/2 cp sauerkraut juice

Combine the ingredients, chill and serve in small cocktail glasses

 Grated Cucumber Cocktail

3 young unpeeled cucumbers

1/4 tsp onion juice

1 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

1 tsp grated horseradish

2 cps tomato juice

Wash and dry the cucumbers but do not peel. Grate and combine with the remaining ingredients.Chill and serve in small cocktail glasses with whole wheat wafers.

Mushroom Cocktail

1 lb small mushrooms

1 tbsp chili sauce

1/2 tsp meat sauce

1 tsp lemon juice

1/2 tsp salt

1/8 tsp pepper

1/2 cp diced celery

1/4 cp minced stuffed olives

Peel and remove mushroom caps. Chop the stems and simmer in 2 cps boiling water for 10 minutes.Drain off liquid then combine with seasonings and lemon juice and cook 5 minutes longer.Slice the raw mushroom caps and add with the celery and olives to the prepared sauce.Chill and serve in cocktail glasses. Pass pretzel sticks.

Sauerkraut and Clam Juice Cocktail

1 cp sauerkraut juice

1 cp clam juice

1/2 tsp grated horseradish

few grains of salt

Combine the ingredients. Chill and pour over shaved ice in small cocktail glasses. Accompany with crisp saltines.
