French is an backyard culinary expert who has provided grilling and bbq techniqes to thousands of satisfied guests over the years. He commonly publishes articles and recipes to sites online such as http://www.burgerbbq.com and http://www.barbequetechniques.com
I use my grill all year and my guests always say the same thing..Jimmy can I get a taste of your grande backyard burger!! They ask me, jim what ingredients do you use mine just don't taste the same as yours.
I always respond.."with the same love and care for the meat and the backyard prepartion I always give..There is no secret!!"
Here it is:
1. Premium Angus Ground Beef
2. Cilantro (chopped slightly)
3. Onion (chopped finely)
4. Chili powder (dash)
5. Ketchup with some mustard
mix it in a bowl and carefully make 1/2" to 3/4" thick patties.
Throw on the grill. It's important to buy fresh baked buns from your local grocery and then offer sides of: lettice, tomato (sliced thinnly), onions (sliced thin) salt and pepper.
I'll typically let the meat mix above sit and refrigerate for an hour or so, prior to putting on the grill.
If you like a charred taste then you can turn up the grill and throw on some heat to gently provide a seared taste, but be certain that the meat is well cooked.
My guests always enjoy standard side dishes that compliment the burgers, which could be fresh salad with balsamic vinegerette with nicely chopped vegies. as well as home made potato salad and other tasty sides.
look for my corn recepe that I hope to post shortly that is fabulous on the grill and can be cooked at the same time as your burgers. I recommend visiting burgerbbq.com for more on this subject and to watch some grilling videos.
