Magnetic Bakers’ Measures Chart + Metric to US Conversion Tables -- Printable

Magnetic Recipe Cards are a handy addition to any kitchen.

Here are some of the reasons to “magnetize” your favorite recipes.

  • The cards can be place at eye level for easy reference.
  • No more searching for the recipe on your counter (a real time saver).
  • You can use both messy hands for cooking or baking.
  • No more spilling ingredients on your recipe cards.
  • Frequently used recipes can remain on stoves or refrigerators for easy access.

Homemade Magnetic Recipes Cards are quick and easy to make. There are 2 ways to “magnetize” your recipes.

  • Use your computer printer to print your recipes directly onto an inkjet magnet sheet. If your recipes are already computerized most of the work is already done. If not, inputting your recipes into your PC will be required.
  • Attach your existing recipe card (or a copy) to refrigerator style magnet. For this method I like to use recycled calendar refrigerator magnets. These recycled fridge magnets are free and usually stronger than inkjet magnet sheets. Using a photo copy allows you to retain the original. With this method you will not need to input your recipes into your PC.

Magnetic Recipes Cards make wonderful gifts when swapping recipes. When giving home baked or homemade canned goods as gifts; including a magnetic recipe card insures the gift is remembered long after the gift is consumed.

Here is an example of a recipe magnet with Cooking Measurement Equivalents. This magnet can be placed in any convenient location for quick reference while making your favorite recipe.
