So why should you use a natural colon cleansing recipe? When considering having your colon cleansed, you don't have to go directly to laxatives or the drug store for a home enema kit. Laxatives contain chemicals and can bring negative side effects, and enemas are known for the unpleasant odors associated with them.
There are more natural ways to cleanse the colon; it can be as simple as changing what we put in our mouths. For starters, fiber is a must. At least 25 to 30 grams of fiber should be ingested each day, whether it is dissolved in water or in food. Fiber-rich foods include fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains. It can be as simple as adding flaxseed to your morning cereal, or taking a supplement.
Water is also important. The recommended dosage is generally 64 ounces, but another formula to go by is half of your pound weight in ounces. If the sufficient amounts of fiber and water are ingested, the colon will restore itself and work properly over time.
Another way of naturally cleaning the colon is by using herbal remedies. These remedies can assist in removing fecal matter, prevent formation of more toxins that would build up on the colon walls and kill bacteria and parasites that are already there. Some herbs that are used in these remedies can include the aloe leaf, senna, cascara sangrada, ginger and cayenne pepper.
Colon cleansing herbs generally can be found in health stores. Even when using herbs for a colon cleansing formula, fiber and water still should be added generously to the diet.
Hopefully this brief article has given you some natural colon cleansing recipe ideas that you can try from home!
