The trucking industry first got its start during the Second World War. Originally, trains were used to transport goods. The problem with that was they could only reach the train depots. From there, it was common to have a horse drawn wagon take supplies to the front lines. This is where the decided they needed something different—something more effective. They began to experiment with rubber tires. And soon, they were able to transport all the supplies to the servicemen in need.
Ever since then, the trucking industry has increased in number and power. The majority of products in stores have been shipped using freight haulers.
