While many of us would like to help the environment, the current recession has scared many away from doing so.   Start a garden. Growing you own food is great for the environment and great for your wallet. First, you will not be buying imported fruits and vegetables, which are costly to import in the first place. Therefore, you will be saving yourself and retailers money.
