Beware of “The Upgrade Man”

Ladies, please don’t be a victim of what I call the “upgrade man.”

You meet this supposedly great guy and plans were made to go out one evening. You prepare yourself for a night out on the town and he seems excited.

He will provide you with all the details of the evening and what time he should arrive for the date. Suddenly you receive a phone call with a plausible excuse. “My son has a basketball game that totally slipped my mind and I must attend, can we skip dinner and I come over later or you come over to my crib?” Well he could be thinking that he get two for the price of one.

This sounds ok on the surface but here is something that the upgrade man does often and women fall for this all the time. He uses his kids as an excuse to get out of a date or situation.

So what is he doing? Well, he is searching for the best evening he can get for his time e.g. seeking to upgrade his fun level. If you are a new interest and there is currently just conversation and a waiting period because he knows that there will not be any sex, he would cancel or postpone a date with you and go out with the one he KNOWS he’ll get the cookie.

If no lady is available for the score, then a date with you will happened so that he can invest his time for the cookie in the future.  What you have here are men looking for goodies on the side but may have several ladies he can go to for a booty call. He is not relationship worthy at this point in his life and you should not waste your time.

Now the other point to consider is whether this man already have a steady lady but looking to upgrade his ‘getting the cookie level’ between downtown with his steady or he is,  searching for new cookie.

Here is the point, you know clearly when a man is pulling your leg with these lamed excuses and you should send him stepping the first time his story does not add up.
