Branding Men

Did you know that men want the same as Jesus? What is that you asked? They simply just want to be believed in totally. Do you believe in your man or men in general?

So many women have branded men. Think about this, when someone says, “Can you give me a Kleenex?” it is understood that they want facial tissue. There are many brands of facial tissues but Kleenex is one embedded in our minds. Did you know that you could have done the same things to your man or men in general?

Do you believe the following about a man?

• A real man will help me pay my bills
• A real man will give me money to shop
• A real man will help me pay my tuition
• A real man will pay to get my car repaired and buy me new tires for my vehicle.
• A real man will keep my yard in good shaped
• A real man will fix things in my house
• A real man will pay for me to take trips

Some of these things are expected if he is your husband, but 83% of the women in my research believed that a real man that they are just dating SHOULD do most of the things listed above.

Now, If he does all of those things, what will he get in return from you? What value do you provide him? In my research, most women could not give me a reasonable answer. They usually say, “If he wants all of this, he must do what real men do.” What is all of this? Sex?  You are so fine that he is paying just to hang with you? Everything above can cost a man thousands of dollars a year. What value or return on his investment do you provide for his hard earn money? He should do it because he is a real man? He should want to do all of the above because you are a woman and he is a man? If he wants all of this, he has to do those things?

Wow, if you believe this, you have branded men.

What a real man really wants? For you to carry your own weight and think of WE instead of me. In this economic climate, so many men are faced with financial burdens and even those who earn a great living have big expectations placed on them by their woman. The diamond has to be a certain size, the purse, shoes and dress has to be a certain brand, the restaurant must be of the highest quality, the brand of wine must be a named brand and expensive per bottle, the car they drive must be a luxury vehicle or represent, the trips must be to an exotic area and so on.

As I stated in my book, you can be a good person but a BAD mate from a man’s perspective. I’ve had so many women tell me how good they are to their man and usually talk about duties e.g. cooking, washing and sex as if they are providing the ultimate value to their man. NOT!!! Just believe in his vision, dreams and understanding his plight along with those things is the ultimate value.

Ladies, men have bills too. Don’t you want a man who is responsible with his affairs? Have good credit? Be very ambitious with a loving heart? Well, not all men have the resources to support you and successfully maintain his affairs. I’ve seen so many men file bankruptcy simply because he fell in love with the wrong woman. She usually stops hanging with him when he could not provide for her anymore. And begins to looks for an upgrade.

If you want to WOW a man, just say this: “I understand the expense of dating; we should start a fun fund where we both contribute for our enjoyment.” Maybe we can plan our dates together and discuss how we will fund it. You will amaze a man with those words. He will appreciate that you are concerned about his purse and a great and lasting relationship could develop. Be careful, some men may become offended if you make it appears that he can not pay for a date Also some men self-esteem is tied to what they are able to buy their woman. But with these types of men this is all you will get. All men want to give his woman the world if he could but keep your expectation reasonable. Most men over 30 are old school and will want pay for everything anyway. Also know that at least 91 percent of the men in my research felt that women should want to contribute to the cost of dating and the relationship.

I know that you want him to plan the evening, woo you with flowers, and be romantic. Men love making the right dating decisions. However, some are concern about not disappointing a woman. Would you become disappointed if the evening did not meet your expectation in value? I mean if he selects Chilies instead of a fancy seafood restaurant, how would you feel? If he decides to take you to Fridays and a walk in the park, how would you react? What about picking up a few sandwiches and have a long drive spending time getting to know each other? Are these romantic dates? I’m sure not to the Atlanta Housewives; a man would be considered cheap and a loser in their opinions.

Most women say that it’s the thought that counts, but does it really? “I want him to surprise me sometimes?” What if sends you roses at work and its only 6 instead of a dozen, how would you feel? I’ve had so many women tell me when complaining about their man that he should have been more creative. “He should have bought a card along with the candy,” “My friends are watching and he should have purchased more roses.” ”He should have called during the day to give me teaser about our evening” “He should have said something differently instead of what he said, and he should have made a bigger effort.” Whew!!!! If the thought is what counts, who’s thoughts? Yours or his’s? Please know that you man never has any intentions not to reach your expectations; it is just your expectations creates the problem.

Most men understand that women believe that they have to pay to play but guess what; when he does, YOU have been branded as a commodity and will be treated as such. When you lose value to the man he will toss you out without hesitation or remorse. You may say, “How Can He Do This To Me?” well he purchased “all of this” and now done with it. It has no more use to him anymore. He’s looking for the next latest model or upgrade.

Please be realistic with your expectations of a man. He is not less of a man if his resources are limited or is he in your opinion? He could be the real man you are searching for because he has the ability to take care of himself. Think about how things could be if you join forces with this man instead of what he able to do for you as things are now. Again, you really want a responsible man instead of a pretender. Just know that most men are willing to help in anyway they can and would do so without hesitation if he feels that his woman respects his purse.

What you really want is a man who responsible, loving, goal driven and for many women one who love’s God. This is the brand you want.
