FORGIVENESS:

It was ending of the autumn and winter was approaching. The beginning of long nights has its toll on everybody. Tom’s loneliness was conspicuous by the demise of Catherine; his beloved wife .His only son, Fraser; It was very dear to him. His resemblance to his wife constantly reminds her presence in all walks of life. At this tender age of 4 years the child was deprived of his mother’s love and affection. Catherine’s absence made his son jittery and disturbed. Tom was very kind to his son and tried his best to cheer him up at every opportunity.

It was a bloody weekend when weather conditions deteriorated by unusual and unexpected snow fall. Tom has planned to take his son to the park and later spend the evening at a cultural centre. By the afternoon Fraser already calculated in his mind all the activities that they will be undertaking. He was mentally prepared and was impatiently awaiting his father’s nod to proceed. The weather was still harsh and unkind. Fraser’s patience exhausted and he started pestering his dad. Tom was equally disturbed and was trying to pacify his son. Tom’s loneliness has made him depressed and added responsibility made him jittery too. When his explanation failed to convince Fraser then he lost his cool and scolded his son .It was such a crucial moment that made Fraser withdrawn, and he started crying. When Tom’s all efforts failed to make him quite by diverting his attention, he lost his cool and rebuked little Fraser rather harshly. Fraser suddenly became quiet and went to his bedroom .He was sobbing for sometimes when he felt asleep.

Tom sat quietly in the living room and dozed off. Suddenly, he has woken up and realized his attitude and rude behavior towards Fraser. He went to his room and saw little Fraser was sleeping .The visible tears were rolled down on his cheeks. He sat next to his son and started thinking. He realized that as grown up adults, he committed many mistakes, remained arrogant and stubborn too. He also understood the selfish desire which overshadowed the otherwise sensible reasoning which indulged him in committing undesirable acts. He said to himself that in spite of all wrong doings God has been very kind to forgive his mistakes and behavior. He realized his mistake and wiped tears from his son’s cheeks and kissed him.

He took a vow that never again he will be harsh and rude to others. He will also forgive other’s mistakes and be kind to them. He was impatiently waiting for his son to wake up for smashing events he planned to spend together..
