Getting him back? Understanding What His Level of Communication Is

You know the pain and frustration you feel after a breakup because you still have feelings for your ex?  It’s likely that your ex still has those feelings for you too even during the breakup.  It’s likely that the reason he broke up with you wasn’t because he suddenly stopped loving you. Instead, he was having a hard time seeing the potential of where your relationship could end up. So, now is getting him back possible?

So what do you do if you still love him and you have mixed feelings about the situation? How do you know if he still has feelings for you?  You find out for sure by paying close attention to one thing: communication.  The amount of communication that happens between you and your ex is the determining factor on if he still has feelings for you and if those feelings will once again develop into a relationship.

If you are at home and you receive a random phone call from your ex and he wants to know what you’re up to, how things are going, etc., then he is trying to find a place back in your life.  He’s trying to figure out where you want him by gauging your responses.  If you hold back from talking to him like you did when you were dating, he’s going to see your response as an indicator that you just want to be friends with him.  However, if you can get into intimate communication about work, personal issues, every day problems or whatever you used to talk to him about, then he’s going to see that you still find him a very important person in your life.  Also, if he’s doing the same to you - telling you about work and what’s happening in his life - then he’s trying to show you he wants you to play an important part in his life still.

Unfortunately, the opposite tends to happen, too. If he isn’t open to communication and you find it nearly impossible to get in touch with him then chances are he’s moving on without you. This doesn’t mean your chances of getting him back not possible; it just means it’s going to be harder to do.

Whatever situation you find yourself in, if you want to get back with him, you’re going to need a plan.  Take the time to realize what went wrong the first time around and change those issues before you jump into a relationship again.  Show him you’re willing to work hard to become better for your relationship and he’ll be willing to work hard in return.
