How To Save Your Relationship Relationships 101 Course

It’s a pity that there is no relationship 101 course at college. They teach you everything from sciences and languages to literature, but not how to get on with other people.  Its unfortunate as everybody needs to learn to develop their relationship skills and a little theory would not go amiss before you go off on your own in the wide world and develop such skills practically.

The only relationships that should not be saved are those that are abusive and those where the partners are totally miserable.  All other relationships, no matter what has happened, can be sorted out.  This is the first lesson in your Relationship 101 Course.

Often the partners do not work at it long enough?  When there is still tumult and anger, it is always easy to get out when times are riding rough; the good times of the past are soon forgotten.

The relationship must have been going alright at some point; if not it would have already collapsed.  People have to look beyond the anger and remember the moments that were good. They will then want to use the relationship 101 theory to save the couple.

Often one of the partners is ready to work to try to save the relationship but the other is lost in the bad times and cannot see the good and wants to throw in the towel.

One person can save the relationship even if this is very difficult to do so. Staying positive, when the other partner doesn’t seem to care, is like pushing water uphill.  .

The second lesson to learn from relationships 101 is to keep at it and try to solve your relationship problems.  Even if you don’t succeed you will come through as a better person, and this must be positive for both of you in the long run.

Think about how you behaved when the relationship started and was running well.  Compare this to the way you treat your partner today.  Try to invert things and go back to your old methods.

Get back to being polite and thoughtful, and stay a good friend even if you decide that you are going to break up.  Don’t try to force your partner to continue.  Show them that you are the person that they would like to be with again; and at the same time assure yourself that, despite all, you are going to come through successfully.   This is probably the most important relationship 101 to learn, that you should never give up when you are trying to save your relationship.
