As the best friend of the bride, you have been designated as the party host. As the hostess, you are now feeling the pressure because you wish to give her a unique bridal shower party. Do not allow stress to get in the way. Be focus and think hard. Surf the Internet or ask for ideas from some people. If you are running out of time, check these ideas and you will surely give your friend a fun-filled and memorable bridal shower:
1. Ask her mother-in-law to attend the party.
Who says bridal showers are only for the bride's mother, sister(s), and close friends? And, who says, the daughter-in-law and the mother-in-law will not get along well? This bridal shower should be the start of a happy relationship between them. However, she should not only be one of the attendees. Make the would-be mother-in-law shine. Ask her to speak and welcome her would-be daughter-in-law.
2. Make a theme for all the bridal shower gifts of the attendees. Instead of giving out gifts for her personal use, why not tell everyone to buy gifts that she will surely use during the honeymoon - lingerie and bubble bath products for jacuzzi, for instance.
3. Offer her a 'personalized' cake. Make it something that will show 'what his groom has'. But to make this 'offering' more thrilling, give the cake while it is in the box then ask her to open it. See how surprise she will become! Do not forget to catch this moment in pictures!
4. Invite a sex therapist or psychologist. Have a small 'classroom' discussion. Ask the sex therapist or psychologist to talk about how 'it' happens and how to perfectly do 'it'. Surely, everyone will laugh their hearts out! What about the bride? She will definitely start feeling the honeymoon jitters.
5. Create unique and funny games. This will surely make the night livelier. The key here is 'greener' or the naughtier, the better.
6. Instead of giving the usual bridal shower message, ask each of the attendees to relate their most unforgettable honeymoon experience. Tell them, this should be a no-holds-barred, tell-all sharing of stories. The primary objective is to at least give her an idea of what to expect.
7. Give the bride her time to ask. Definitely, there are a lot of things that have been running in her mind. Give her the opportunity to ask questions that can only be answered by married women in the party. Remind the bride, her questions should have something to do with marriage, sex, pregnancy, and raising kids.
A bridal shower gives the would-be wife a breathing space. So, as the party host, you have to make the most out of the occasion. Make her forget, just for one night, all the wedding preparations that have been keeping her these past few months. The aftermath of a bridal shower should be that, the bride should feel more excited about her coming wedding - and honeymoon.
