Don't Break Up - Make Up
It has been a long month but I am feeling better and I am making progress with my makeover – my
Mum told me I was looking really well ! I have had a few dates as well and got a bit of my confidence back. So the cool–off period is over and I have been through lots of emotions and also learned to rationalise and think clearly about my feelings for my ex.
The question now is :- Am I ready to contact my ex again ? Well, I am NOT desperate or panicky so that is a good sign and I am ready to move on with life. Once my ex senses that I am desperate I am going to lose a lot of points and that could well be my downfall. I must have the right mindset and the method below has taught me that.
Time to make the contact. How do I do it ? A phone call is OK. And it is going to be a quick get together – nothing too demanding or lengthy. I am not going to fall into the trap of saying ‘I want to talk to you ‘. My plan is to be seen by my ex and I am going to look really good and radiate self confidence. The method below has taught me how to do that. Also my secret strategy is that I can give off lots of great vibes and cancel out the bad ones
It has to be an enjoyable thing we used to do together. Also I am going to call well ahead – I need some more time to plan the meeting. So I am giving my ex about a week. This is really important.
How do I act during the phone call? First I will have to make sure that it is the right time of day or evening when I know my ex is fairly free of commitments and even more importantly they are alone and can talk in private. There is nothing worse if s/he is going somewhere with a group of friends.
I am going to be very friendly and in a good mood – maybe chat about some nice thing that happened recently. Great chance here to say - ‘You know, that reminded me of the time we used to go to that restaurant ‘ This of course is a happy memory for both of you. Once I feel that the rapport is more or less like it used to be in the good times, I will suggest a meeting – the best ones are lunch or coffee.
I am then going to suggest a date ( a week ahead) and a time and place but also I am going to be quite crafty here and say that it has to be pretty short (say half an hour) as I have to be at the dentists’ at whatever time. This should set my ex’s mind at rest in case they are thinking that it is going to be a long painful sessions going over old arguments.
The link below will teach me how to approach this all important meeting and some really good strategies to win my ex back. Way to go !
