Bible's 12 Quick Tips for Eternal Life

Ask any two denominations what do you need to do to be saved and you get different answers. But if you take your question directly to the Bible, the answer is always the same. Here's what the New Testament says:
1. BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST Faith in Jesus is necessary. The jailor asked Paul and Silas what should he do to be saved. They replied: "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved-you and your household." (Acts 16:31) See also: (Romans 1:15-17), (1 John 5:1-6), and (Revelation 21:8)
2. REPENT OF YOUR SINS The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9) See also: (Luke: 15:10), (Acts 17:30, 20:21, and 26:20)
3. CONFESS FAITH IN JESUS Confession is another requirement. Jesus said that whoever confesses him before men, he will confess before his Father in heaven. But those who deny him will be denied before his Father. (Matthew 10:32-33 NKJV) See also: (Romans 10:9)
4. BAPTISM Baptism is the fourth requirement. The resurrected Jesus instructed his disciples to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19) He also said, "No one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born of the water and the Spirit." (John 3:5) See also: (Mark 16:16), (Acts 2:38), (Romans 6:3-4), and (Acts 8:37-39)
Baptism in the scriptures meant immersion, not pouring nor sprinkling. Sprinkling for baptism was not fully accepted until the Council of Ravena in 1311 A.D. We have no reason to believe Christ ever approved of it.
New Testament scriptures, Acts in particular, records many baptisms. All were old enough to believe, no one was baptized against his will, and no infant baptism is mentioned at all.
Jesus said. "If you want to enter life, obey the commandments."
"Which ones?" the man inquired.
Jesus replied:
5. "DO NOT MURDER." (Matthew 19:18), (Mark 10:19), (Luke 18:20)
6. "DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY." (Matthew 19:18), (Mark 10:19), (Luke 18:20)
7. "DO NOT STEAL." (Matthew 19:18), (Mark 10:19), (Luke 18:20)
8. "DO NOT GIVE FALSE TESTIMONY." (Matthew 19:18), (Mark 10:19), (Luke 18:20)
9. "DO NOT DEFRAUD." (Mark 10:19)
10. "HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER." (Matthew 19:19), (Mark 10:19), (Luke 18:20)
11. "LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF." (Matthew 19:19), (Luke 10:27)
12. LOVE GOD On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. "Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?"
"What is written in the Law?" he replied. "How do you read it?"
He answered: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"
"You have answered correctly," Jesus replied. "Do this and you will live." (Luke 10:25-28)
And how do we love God? "This is love for God: to obey his commands." 1 John 5:3
If I follow these twelve commands, will I go to heaven? "Yes," says Jesus, Paul, Silas, Peter, and John. For Christians, that should be authority enough.

God Yearns for Man to be His Foreever and be Free From the Clutches of Evil .the Call of Man to be in God's Kingdom and Look for Deception of Life By: Venoy Joseph | 23/09/2007 | Religion Man is God’s most precious creation whom he reaches out with love, but his jeweled creation ignores and cannot fathom the extant of his love for precious ones. Why God loves humans more than anything? Why he yearns for man’s attention? The answers to these questions lies in the fact that humans are intellectual personalities capable of thinking and reasoning, which no creation of his enjoys this exclusive power. Animals cannot be judged as they cannot distinguish Between right and wrong .
The intellectual capabilities of man is due to the precious spirit that God has Invested in man which animal is not endowed with . God has made man in his Own image , this is very true for we humans as we think and act as God does . And God is also a spirit as humans are that is what makes man a precious and Jeweled beings of God .
Now , man was created as special and holy but due to Sin , humans lost that exclusive right as unholiness does not run parallal with God . Man is born in sin and will be in sin as long as life goes on and this will obviously Delete the special status as long as life goes on . but God created man not to loose Him and his exclusive rights but to have him with his rights intact as long as life Goes on . How ?
As long as life has been and as long as life will be, God has provided man a way to Obtain that special status. This is where man’s intellectual capablites comes into Play to regain that status and man has to find for his life that hallmark which God Has provided for man. This is very essential as man is spirit and all accepts that Spirit beings are indestructible and they are destined either for heaven or hell . Though the physical body is destructible but the spirit has the same existence as One is in the body or not, The spirit of a man exists in hell or heaven, as he was in the body, for eternity Depending upon the choice he makes by his intellect .
so, no man can escape this Reality of an eternity which God the Boss has provided for man. It is man’s choices And deeds that labels him an entity for heaven or hell throughout eternity. Evil Men enjoy much than good in this world, that explains why this life does not end With a short span of life on this earth. As God has created man with capability of distinguishing from right and wrong then he has the right to judge man on the basis of the work he does . God will judge the man according to the deed good or bad that he did while he lived on the face of this earth .

By: BuntingOne | 25-08-2007
Hi, I am a born again Christian truly believe in the truth that a persons' Identity in Christ can set them free. I once suffered with low self esteem and depression so strong that I contemplated suicide. My wife shared with me that once I began understanding my Identity in Chist, that the truths of how God sees me in christ would set me free. I was so confused, anxiuos, and depressed that I told Her that I wanted to schedule a meeting with a Christian Psychologist we knew (who by the way charged $200.00 per hour) She insisted that all I needed to do was to get ahold of who I am in Christ, and that over time, those truths would set me free. So, I begin studying all of the scriptures that spoke of my identity in Christ, and began to believe God regarding how he sees me because of me being in Christ and the Truth of that began to set me free! In will go as far as to say that all of the people who suffer from severe mental illness (we all siffer from mental illness-wrong thinking-at times,) would be set free if they came to Christ and allowed him set them free by correcting their thinking about who they have become in Him. Jesus says: If you hold to my teachings, then you are really my discilpes, then you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free" John 8:31. He also said "If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed." John 8:36 Just wanted to share. Thanks, Doug
